Hi Meg. We used to allow dogs but it can be a problem in Apollo Bay because local by-laws mean dogs are not allowed down the beach in the summer months and too often we found ourselves as "de-facto" dog managers when couples would go swimming and leave the dog tied up for an hour or two at the residence. Nowadays we don't allow dogs because it is better for owners to use a facility that is purpose built for that sort of thing. Basically our back yard is only an average size and while many people have promised "we will keep her in the car" or some such thing the dog will often not settle in unfamiliar territory. Sorry.
