We have just finished eating here. I had the roast lamb and it was delightful, it comes with roast spuds and then there is a hot buffet for you to select other vegetables. My wife had a wonderful piece of salmon that came with everything. What a great venue in a small town. The rest of the menu l;look very... More

This is a quaint place in Port Fairy. The rooms which are at the back of the hotel look old, but it is apparent hey have recently been fixed, albeit room 14 had been in any event. Great strong shower which I like. You check in at the bar at the hotel, and the guy who checked me in looked... More

I stayed there overnight on business. It was just perfect. The room I had was in the main building with en-suite. Bed comfortable, good quality bedding towels and bathroom accessories. Hosts very friendly with good recommendation on where to eat. I will definitely stay there again.

The motel rooms are older and can have issues (the window will not close in the bathroom), but for the price it is comfortable. We stayed here before and we returned. The Pub has decent food and we have eaten there several times. So I reckon I would recommend it.

After reviewing Trip Advisor comments on eateries in Port Fairy we decided to dine at the Caledonian, also known as "The Stump". We found food to be excellent. There was a buffet of salads and hot vegetables to add to your meal. The atmosphere was pleasant and all guests seemed to enjoy their meals. The price was reasonable, so we... More

We went there for the historic surrounds, the food turned out to be lovely too, and very reasonable . I had a single lamb shank-$18, plenty and really sumpious , the drinks were bit dear $8 glass , we both enjoyed the evening

It's pretty much what you'd expect for the price range. Paid $85 for a double room, smells a bit musty and decor is about 20 years outdated, but that's what you get for the price I guess. Other than that it was clean and nice enough.

We stayed here for one night in March 2016. It has basic rooms but have all the things you need, including fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The room actually had a double and single bed, so plenty of room. The shower was extremely large, with plenty of hot water. There is a restaurant next door and a pub.

This place had been recommended to us by our son who visited a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, we did not experience the same enjoyment. The atmosphere and service weren't particularly pleasant but the meal was awful. Salad and vegetables are on a bar on a help yourself basis bit the vegetables were not appetising in any way and looked... More
