This is a real gem a flat fifteen minute max walk from the craziness of Hastings street. The complex has just been updated and the pool area is excellent and very spacious whilst being very family friendly with great views of Noosa sound. The units are quite spacious and their unique split level layout means there is room to spread out. The two bedroom units overlooking the pool are great for families who want to keep an eye on their kids in the pool whilst relaxing on the balcony. The management could not be more helpful. This is now our favourite place to stay in Noosa.

I nearly didn’t write this review because we didn’t want people to find out about it, but this is a good value spacious accommodation option. We had a 3 bedroom apartment that had been renovated. Two bathrooms, river views and air con throughout. The free buses run into Noosa made accessing Hastings St easy, particularly when we didn’t want to use the car. Kitchen has everything we needed. Birds a little noisy on dusk which made talking on the balcony tough, but that really is being picky. We’d stay here again.

We have stayed at several locations in Quamby Place at Noose over 30 years but this was our first time at Sun Lagoon. We love the location, basically on the river, but only 10-15 minutes walk from Hastings St and the now buzzing Noosaville area by the river. This is on elf the earliest resorts in the area so it is showing some signs of age inside (i.e. only one bathroom) but it is quite spacious and our room had an enormous balcony looking over the pool and across to the river. Both the pool and the BBQ have been recently renovated, and I'm told the entrance area and front of the resort will be done soon. There is a small shopping centre across the road that has a convenience store, coffee shop, BWS and two very good restaurants. Wasabi is often judged as one of the best restaurants in Qld and Ricky's next door is also very good. Both look over the water and are next to the ferry stop where you can catch the boat to Noosa or along the river and up to Tewantin.

A self-contained apartment complex with absolute river frontage and views, which is halfway between Hastings St and Noosaville but also adjacent to the Quamby Place restaurants and shops? Yeah, it's an amazing location and the accommodation is very good.

Apartments are fully self contained so cooking breakfasts, and the occasional meal, especially if you have one of the pool/river fronting units and fancy a night in with a BBQ and some wine from the wine store across the road, is excellent! The slightly odd 2-level design of the buildings has an interesting advantage that the bedrooms are quite removed from the living areas and so people on different sleep cycles or needs can be quite uninterrupted by the people still up and enjoying Noosa!

Seriously though, if you're in Noosa for the food scene, you're equidistant and walking distance from both Hastings St and Noosaville, but with the fabulous Quamby Place restaurants literally outside your door. This is a wonderful location.

In addition the resort has SUP, kayak, bike, etc. hire and the managers always happy to arrange tours, etc. We'll be back again next year, for sure!

This was the second time we have stayed at the resort and we loved it just as much as the first time. It’s now become an annual family holiday. We love the pool area, location is just what we need and our river view apartment overlooking the pool was beautifully renovated, had everything we could have wanted and was a great place to retreat to after a morning at the beach. The managers are amazing and go out of their way to make your holiday special. We really love this place and in the craziness of covid we appreciate having an annual holiday in such a great location. Will be back next year.

The best 3 day two night weekend away I have had in years. We stayed in a three bedroom, 3 floors, (I was given the top floor, main bedroom, oh boy, that bed…..ensuite, WIR, and balcony). Superb. From the beautiful, bright decor, spacious living, two balconies, every kitchen appliance you could ask for. Sauna, pools/spa. Extremely clean and we had an early book in time. We hired a BBQ boat and swam, ate and fished our way all about the Noosa River from 8am ~ 12 noon. A refreshing afternoon swim and an afternoon kip in the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in ~~ seriously ~~ I’m 59 and slept in a few beds over time ~~ sensational !!! We will stay here again and I would highly recommend these modern, clean and very comfortable units to everyone ! A. Dawson

Absolutely loved our short 3 day, 2 night stay at Sun Lagoon.
The apartment exceeded all expectations, was clean, great location, great view and really spacious. The resort itself was also fabulous with great pool, spa and all water sports equipment available.
Kerrie at reception was so helpful right from my initial phone call to enquire about booking.

She organised push bikes for us, they were ready and waiting when we arrived.
Nothing was a problem for her and she went well above and beyond to make our stay the most wonderful and positive experience I can safely say that I have had!

15 minute flat walk to Hastings St or about a 5 minute ride, which was fun.
Loved the place!
Can't wait to go back.

Stayed in a newly renovated 3 bedroom apartment ,it was nicely appointed & Huge, great view to the entrance of Noosa river ,4 iconic restaurants a minutes walk away .A café which makes the best omelettes in town & a General store . Nice pool area a bit dated but i believe about to be renovated .Whilst we used the restaurants i noticed several families using the BBQ area.
Management very accommodating

Great stay from the very start. Awesome friendly service. Really clean and comfortable accommodation. Beautiful pool, spa and sauna that we enjoyed day and night. Secure parking and close by to everything we needed. Booked again for a treat in school holidays as soon as we got home.

Whichever site you book through, you need to pay a hire fee to use the kayaks. We booked direct through the resort and took our own gear. There are a heap of hire places and pricing is generally conservative.
