We stayed for four nights in Tornoalago in Oct 15 and would highly recommend it. Rainer met us from the train in Como and took our luggage to our apartment which made it easier for us to travel to Torno by ferry and we really appreciated the gesture. When we arrived at Tornoalago from the ferry, Rainer invited us into...

We stayed for 4 nights at Tornoalago. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, they assisted us with our luggage, as the old centre of Torno is hard to reach by car. The apartment was clean, spacious, functional and nicely decorated. A fully equipped kitchenette, with all the basics available (like coffee and olive oil). In the night,...

Great apartment in beautiful location. Quite and very relaxing which is just what we needed. Lake Como can be very hectic and with large crowds. This is the opposite of that and appears more real for it. Apartment verde was large, comfortable with everything you could wish for. Had wonderful evenings at Bar Italia and at Vapour restaurant which both...

While Como was an easy destination to choose, I found it much more difficult to decide where to stay in Como. I just wanted a place with an easy access to transportation but far from any maddening crowds. Allora, not sure how but I chanced upon Tornoalago, a self serviced apartment accommodation in tiny Torno. I remember being immediately drawn...

Where to begin! My husband and I stayed at Tornoalago for 3 nights of our honeymoon. The trip began on a high note - Reiner picked us up from the train station and took us to the local grocery store to stock up our apartment. We stayed in the Verde room and were thrilled with our apartment - Built in...

We stayed at Tornoalago for 7 nights in July. Cris and Rainier couldn't have been more helpful before and during our visit, helping us work out what trains to catch from Milan Malpensa Airport, advising us on days out and generally making us feel like villagers rather than tourists. Those staying at Tornoalago seem to come from the 4 corners of...

Tornoalago has beautifully appointed apartments, just metres from the ferry terminal in the sleepy town of Torno. Reiner and Chris are perfect hosts. We stayed 4 nights with our son and the apartment met all our needs. Torno has one of the best restaurants on the lake (Vapore) and a fabulous local bar which sells snacks, meals and even has...

Cris and Rainer are the marvellous hosts of Tornoalago.Their attention to their guests is, in my opinion, unequalled, unintrusive and naturally extended. They work hard and play hard, entertaining one and all in their delightful wine cave with inviting European charm. The apartments are charasmatic and immaculately clean. We could not fault the hospitality, the charm of the Italian village...

After reading about Tornoalago on Tripadvisor, this was our second attempt at staying. We arrived late, after a drive from the airport, and were greeted in a Torno side street by Rainer. He and Cris were wonderful from start to finish. Their hospitality makes the difference between staying here or at any other accommodation in the area. We stayed in...

Tornoalago was recommended to us by a friend of my daughter and we are so glad we stayed here. Cristina and Rainer are fantastic hosts, which is evident from first contact. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We arrived in Torno close to midnight as our train was delayed. Rainer was there to...

“Only used the excellent wine bar here. However, local feedback about the rooms were very complimentary. Should I ever return to Torno ( and I fully intend to with my wife) I would stay here. You can not go wrong and they seem to be very reasonably priced.”
