From the moment we wrote the 1st e-mail to the moment we actually made it there, it was like dealing with the members of the family, Cris and Rainer made everything possible to make us feel warm and welcome. They let us park our car in a secure lot, so we wouldn't worry about it, they would take our laggage...

This was one of the great surprises. Well equipped apartments built with a great attention to details. Excellent for young couples or families who want to have a quality time together in a silent, friendly and relaxed place. The hosts are amazing: friendly, open and have a good sense of taste! You'll get some of the best value wines recommended....

Tornoalago was one of 4 places we stayed on our two week honeymoon in Italy, and it was our favorite of all of them. The village of Torno is straight out of a storybook. It feels like a very special and very well-kept secret. It is a tiny place - the waterfront has exactly one bar/cafe and one restaurant. In...

Tornoalago is absolutely the perfect base on Lake Como. Rainer and Cris have taken a centuries old building and created a peaceful but characterful guesthouse in on of Lake Como's prettiest villages. The room we had was spacious and comfortable but had beautiful stone walls and wooden beams. Despite it being a very hot week the room stayed cool and...

Everything about our stay was so smooth, from the initial emails and Cris's amazing pick-up to Rainer's driving ahead of us all the way to the freeway when we left , making sure we took the best route, Nothing was too much trouble for these delightful hosts. Torno is a lovely little village, very quiet and very friendly. The modern...

This was an outstanding location in a picturesque village on Lake Como. From our initial email contact, we knew Cris and Rainer would be wonderful hosts. The pick up from the car park was an experience in itself and we knew it was going to be a hoot when we left. We received such a warm reception and immediately felt...

From the first email contact with the owners of this property we were extremely impressed with their generosity of spirit and later their hospitality. Rainer kindly collected us with his car from the train station in Como and took us on an unforgettable ride to Tornolago pointing out shops, restaurants, etc on the way Torno itself is a lovely little...

Unique and comfortable apartments located in the heart of Torno Italy managed by a very nice couple who are world travelers themselves. Torno is small, quiet and beautifully situated town on Lake Como where you can still experience the real Italy. This little gem has it all. There is a local restaurant with lakeside seating and good food, a corner...

We have just returned from a short break in Tornoalago and can't praise it highly enough. Firstly, Torno is an excellent base for sight seeing around Lake Como: it has several good places to eat, a small shop, a ferry landing point, a bus stop and a couple of bars! Secondly, the Tornoalago accommodation is very smart and well appointed....

We visited Tornoalago when it was fairly quiet - probably due to the extended winter weather rather than the beginning of spring that we had hoped for! Despite this, our stay at Tornoalago was a welcome break from our travels around Italy and what a lovely setting. We stayed in the Rosso room which had more than enough space for...

“Only used the excellent wine bar here. However, local feedback about the rooms were very complimentary. Should I ever return to Torno ( and I fully intend to with my wife) I would stay here. You can not go wrong and they seem to be very reasonably priced.”
