We only stayed at this hotel one night but enjoyed our stay! The grounds were very nice (nice gardens, pool, lawn to play games etc.) and the staff was friendly. The buffet breakfast was very good and had lots of options - probably one of the best breakfast hotels we had in Indonesia. The location was ideal for our sunrise hike to Sibayak volcano as it was close by. The rooms are nothing exceptional but we’re clean. Good stay overall!

We have stayed 2 nights at this hotel The garden is very nice Near the swimmingpool, the hotel has a bar which was not open. The floor and the tables/chairs were dirty The rooms are big, we booked the deluxe room Maintainance is very bad. Behind/Between the cupboard and the wall there was a spinwweb and fungus, which is very bad for men’s health The bathroom is not clean and very bad maintained The towels are not white anymore, very very worn towels. Breakfast is ok Price they charged is too high for Indonesia for the quality they gave.

We spent three nights at the Sinabung Resort Hotel. Although the hotel property is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful, overall our stay could have been much more pleasant. Daily Karaoke events from Friday to Sunday did not provide the peace and relaxation that we were looking for. The expansive pool and play areas attracted large local families. Warm water is only provided at the set times. The breakfast felt more like a Holiday Inn than in a four star hotel making it difficult to find a table. Understand your accommodations in Brestagi before you book.

Stayed here as a last minute booking to climb Sibayak. Requested double room but given twin, beds quickly pushed together to make situation better however I had to ask repeatedly for a sheet or cover across both beds to actually improve situation. Still only given to single duvets. Also no towels in room and not initially informed of restrictions on hot water (restrictions not a problem, plenty of water in morning and afternoon but could have done with knowing before jumping in ice cold shower). Lots of ants in room, I know this is Indonesia but this is supposed to be a resort and we were on 3rd level. Breakfast ok, lots of choice but all going cold and lots of guests using hands to pick up and put down food. On the plus side, staff are pleasant and resolved all problems to best of ability. Tried to massively overcharge when enquired about onward transport however. Gardens and pool area all well maintained and looked lovely. I’d only stay again if last resort, sorry.

This Resort was so spacious with the big swimming pool. They also have garden and variety of flower that make this resort really beautiful. Dinner was good assist by efficient waiter. The room was so scary with old furniture and the toilet not well clean. No wifi in the room. No elevator. Breakfast not much variety and what make me disappointed was the egg was not half cook. Even I'm already told I want half cook, to me this was failure as kitchen staff that make that egg.

Stayed one night and paid thru agoda.com before check-in. I have paid extra bed at the hotel using my card. Then when the trip is over and already back to Malaysia, suddenly my credit card was charged from the hotel without any reason (3 days after come back). And the process to get back the money very very too slow. They tried to drag and drag for so many reasons It almost 2 months and they will pay less without calculating bank interest to the customer's card. They all simply will charge customer without any reason. Avoid using your credit card when staying at this hotel.

SINABUNG HILLS HOTEL – BERASTAGI, INDONESIA On our last day to Lake Toba region in Sumatra, Indonesia (in November 2017) we checked in at the lovely, scenic Resort Sinabung Hills at Jalan Kolam Renang in Berastagi 46.7 km from Medan. Our room was comfortable and large with a balcony where we faced the pool and the large garden that was planted with blooming flowers and ornamental plants and trees. Rooms come in various types of Deluxe or Superior Rooms, President or Junior Suites, and Suite or Deluxe Cottages. All 106 rooms were provide free WiFi, balconies, and 24-hour room service. LCD TVs, coffee makers, slippers, free toiletries, a hair dryer and showers. We must declare that Wifi provided in the rooms came on and off during use and the lights went out for half a minute, other than that everything was fine. If you book online you may get a room with free buffet breakfast for S$48. There were also shops at the property. Cars and bikes can be rented at the property. Sinabung Hill Restaurants consists of three sections of the coffee shop on the terrace, the main dining room and the lounge and grill. We were spoiled for taste by the wide-spread buffet breakfast and dinner of International and local cuisines. Suited on a hill gave the hotel a bone-chilling atmosphere when you have to go out to enjoy your morning stroll through the garden. The town is only a short stroll of 15 minutes. Our pictures will give a true account of the wide spaces and fabulous view of the Hotel and the surrounding grounds and yes there was that great view of the village and the Sinabung Mountain in the distance, from our balcony.
