My husband and I have stayed at Beside the Pointe twice and are planning on going back this year for another stay. The have recently remodeled the rooms and restaurant- and it shows! The rooms are basic but very comfortable with plenty of space. You couldn't get any closer to the beach! By far the best part of our stay...

Hi All, I would definitely suggest Beside The Pointe/ Tamboo if you're visiting Rincon. I have stayed there 3 times- twice with family, and I just got back from a stay with a friend. It was great in all 3 situations- I loved the location and the friendly staff members. I ESPECIALLY love the AC in the rooms... and the...

Beside the Pointe is mostly a place for the 20-something set. The beach (in Dec) had a bad rip tide and was not swimmable, but the beach a few miles down the road was fine. Our room was next to the garbage and the alley where the bar crew worked until the wee hours. The room was tiny and there...

We did not stay at the hotel but had lunch at the restaurant. The food was absolutely horrible-the steak sandwich looked more like dog food and the grilled fish sandwich was obviously a frozen piece of fish with grill stripes painted on. Yuck. The setting is gorgeous so go only for drinks and the view!

I am a local tourist and decided to stay at Rincon to avoid the hassles of San Juan. The service provided by owners Javier and Moraima was amazing. Once there, we were met by Marta, who took us to Suite #7.Loved it.! It was nice and clean. We had dinner with our kid at the restaurant. Food was amazing. The...

I give Tamboo/Beside the Pointe five stars, in its category. Some people may not care for that category and rate it lower, but for what it is and what it offers, and with the upbeat and cooperative attitude of the staff there, it is truly excellent. The only thing I might suggest is that they be a little clearer in...

Great location, right on the beach, we chose the "Honeymoon suite" for $120/night. Had two balconies overlooking Sandy Beach. Beware of weekend partying on Fri/Sat and Mon.!! Most noise level ends around 2:00 - 3:00 AM! Restaurant on site very popular with young noisy crowds, chose to eat at different restaurants for dinner. The 3 Palmas on road 413 is...

My daughter and I stayed at Tamboo for several days and nights starting on April 2. The rooms are basic but very clean & spacious. The restaurant is well above average and the service at both hotel and restaurant is outstanding. Attitude and approach is not only relaxed and easy but also professional and accommodating. We came to Rincon to...

“Room 3 was small and frankly, a bit claustrophobic...BUT, it's the furthest away from bar noise, and how much time are you really going to spend in the room anyway? They have a 2 story deck/seaside bar!”
