Stunning B&B. Elegance everywhere and Gary is a charming host. Gourmet breakfast. Ultra comfortable room. Historic building and furnishings makes you feel special. Easily the best B&B I've ever been to.

Such a great trip! The house is beautiful, the service was great. Could not have asked for a better breakfast. So much care and attention given to every little detail in this place. Super friendly and professional manager. Pretty much a perfect place.

A little late writing this review, we stayed here for 6 nights in SEP/OCT and couldn't have been happier with our choice. We were attending a wedding in Dundas so the location was perfect - walking distance to all the places we needed to be. Gary was a warm and wonderful host and really made our stay enjoyable. The room...

We had our wedding at the Osler House and also spent our first night as a married couple here. Our wedding ceremony and reception were absolutely perfect! Gary is a great host and our guests loved the food! The plating was done exquisitely and every dish tasted even better than the previous one. The breakfast the following morning (Eggs benedict...

I chose the Osler House because I was particularly interested in staying in a historic house. It certainly exceeded expectations on that front, and the owner lent us a number of books and articles and talked with us about the history and the renovations -- it was like living in a museum for a week! As a B&B, it also...

We stayed in the Sir Wiliam Osler Room and the room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The king size bed provided extra comfort for our one night stay. The ensuite bathroom had a soaker tub for two. That was a pleasant discovery. Breakfasts was filling and delicious. The host was very welcoming and gracious. We would stay there again.

My husband and I spent a night here on a recent weekend. The home is quite charming. It was a warm day and our room air conditioner was not sufficient to cool the room. We had a poor night's sleep because we were too warm. There was a sign on the front door asking us to remove our shoes before...

My husband and I had to make a brief trip to Hamilton, and decided to turn it into a short get away. I booked the last room at Osler House. We arrived Saturday around 4:30pm to find a letter on the door from our host, Heather, telling us to let ourselves in and make ourselves at home anywhere not marked...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Osler House is an historic and elegant Victorian mansion built in 1848 that has been meticulously restored. Once the home of the famous and illustrious Osler family, including Doctor Sir William Osler, it is now operated as an exclusive boutique inn and has hosted many VIP guests including royalty on two occassions. Situated on a 1 1/2 acre quiet and private oasis on the most prestigious street in Dundas, it is just a 5 minute walk to the many shops and restaurants of quaint downtown Dundas; the ideal blend of country quiet and city convenience. Guests are treated to the elegance and pace of a bygone time, from the giant and rare Magnolia tree by the front door, to the house tastefully furnished with a heritage of antiques. Accommodations include exclusive access to the front parlour, billiard and garden rooms,as the owners live in completely separate quarters. Deer and other wildlife are often seen grazing on the lawn while relaxing on the front porch. Yet the house features modern amenities and communications. The complimentary breakfast also evokes a more elegant time; gourmet meals served by candlelight in the formal dining room on fine china and silverware, with pressed linen napkins. McMaster University and medical centre are 5 minutes away, downtown Hamilton is 10 minutes, and both Toronto and Niagara Falls are an hour away. Trails, parks and dozens of waterfalls are all within minutes as well. ... more   less
