Detailed Reviews
The first thing I noticed was unfriendliness at the front desk. The clerk told me that there’s no rooms available before asking me if I had a reservation. After I was checked in, I asked him what the password was for the Wi-Fi. Maybe he didn’t hear me, but I had to ask him three times. He was not hard of hearing he just didn’t listen to what I was asking him. He said you don’t need a password. You just take the key and tap it at the lock on the door - he was assuming I was for some reason asking about the password for the key for the door?
The room itself was very presentable. It looked renovated a nice manufactured flooring, and the bathroom was gorgeous. But the bed was hard. It wasn’t the worst I’ve seen, but not the most comfortable by far and there were only three pillows. The refrigerator with warm, I tried adjusting the temperature and it never cooled down. We left with all our stuff warm.
Before we left in the morning, the housekeeper lady was screaming almost pretty much at the top of her lungs.
This could’ve been a good visit, but the staff stood in the way of that. I could get past the part about the hard bed, but being chincy with the pillows really added to a more negative review.

While visiting New Castle on our trip thru Delaware we booked a room at the Travel Inn. This is a no frills motel, but it had a 6.8 rating.
The lobby is closed and you check-in at a window (Covid)
The room looked clean when we first looked before going to eat.
The bedroom part was fine with a king bed, TV, fridge etc. The shower was another story. The fiberglass shower was stained or just dirty. The toilet had a rust color below the water line. We wiped both before using. The sink was smaller than the hole in the vanity leaving gaps. The bath area needs a remodel.

So we were on our way to Williamsburg, VA and due to some VERY heavy traffic around Philly on I-95 we got into DE very late and by 11:30 pm my son and I were both very tired so I was looking for some place to sleep quickly. We tried the Super 8 first but they were booked so we drove across the street to the Econo Lodge. The desk clerk (in both places by the way) sit behind bullet proof glass and there's a sign that says "No Hoodies." Hmmm do I smell high crime area? I was so tired I didn't want to risk driving too much further so I took a room. The bed was comfortable, but other than that, I wouldn't walk barefoot on the carpet as it was so dirty/greasy, and the bathroom was pretty stank too. We slept a few hours and checked out. I did get a free cup of coffee at check out. When I got back on the road, I realized if I'd driven 10-15 more minutes I could've gotten my choice of much cleaner accomodations. If you're going thru this area or flying out...drive the extra 10 minutes.

The hotel rooms have been redone. Bathrooms totally remodeled very clean. Refrigerator are old and tvs are small but definitely worth a one night or 2 night stay. Prices are the same on the weekends. They also offer jacuzzi suites. (Tweetybird)

Avoid this place, for your own good. Keep driving. Our son had so many bites on his face, neck and hands we had to get a doctor's note that he can attend school - have pictures to prove it. This dump needs to be torn down.

If were had not been so exhausted we would have not stayed. I did not sleep well, and kept checking the door and trying to keep the curtains covering any part of the window that could be looked in when the lights were on. First glance it was clean but NOTHING like they show in the pictures. We were glad to pack up as soon as we woke the next morning. We did NOT take our luggage inside, just in case.

I stayed in this hotel for a week. 2 days ago I noticed bites showing up all over my body. I asked to switch rooms.. the guy at the front desk said I would have to wait until the next day. It's 4am I am tired and have to work 12 hours tomorrow. I can't sleep because I itch so bad. Someone please shoot me.

Booked 2 rooms thru Hotwire for 3 nights. If they weren't already paid for in advance (a requirement of Hotwire), I would not have stayed. Continental breakfast not as described - it consisted of a couple mini donuts and a coffee pot that had no coffee. The attendant said that he would make some. And I was well within the hours of breakfast offerings. We also ended up with bedbug bites which started the first night - BOTH rooms but more so in one. Mattresses were not great. The free wifi took forever to connect. Then I found out that I could have gotten a better rate by NOT going thru Hotwire. The only thing good about this place was location convenience. I've used Hotwire in the past especially for cars, but as far as hotels, this time they got it wrong.

Always clean and friendly. This is where I stop whether I am going South or returning North on my way home. I have been coming here for several years whenever I go on vacation in the South. It is close to a BJs wholesale Club that has cheap gas, several restaurants to choose from and his prices are always very reasonable. He also takes AAA and AARP discounts for travelers or seniors.

The receptionist guy ---------------- Muitul Puthak was very rude to me as a customer. I checked-in for two nights but for some reason, the older man that originally checked me in only charged my credit card for one night of which I didn’t know. While I was resting the next morning, housekeeping came to clean the room, but I told them that my daughter and I are resting and don’t need housing keeping, so I put the “DO NOT DISTURB” on the door. However, ten minutes later, there was another knocking at the door, and I politely opened the door and told the two ladies that I did not need housekeeping. However, five minutes later there was heavy banging at the door. I refused to open the door this time and the door was forced opened by Muitul (the receptionist) and he asked me to get out of the room or he will call the police. I simply told him that I checked in for two nights. Instead of him telling me that my card was charged for only one night, he started yelling at me and woke my daughter up from sleep, insisting that I get out of the room. That was very rude as a customer service agent. He is driving customers away.
Secondly, I spent two nights and saw four stinkbugs in the room.
Watch out for them if you ever decide to lodge at this hotel.
