Some hotels are very nice but after a couple of years , you forget that you have been there ; this is not the case with Hotel San Gabriel ! This hotel has personality ! It is located in one of the oldest areas of Ronda , close to both the Cathedral and the famous bridge and the building itself...

Perfect location in the middle of the old town. Outdoor parking a few hundred meters away. A building with a lot of atmosphere. Large room but not that big bed. We would have liked some additional pillows. Anyway, a place we definitely can recommend.

A charming boutique hotel, well-located for exploring Ronda. Parking was fairly convenient and inexpensive. Breakfast was very inexpensive at the hotel but was also a pretty spare offering. The beds and pillows could have been a little softer, but in all, a great place to spend a couple of nights. Lovely staff people.

Anyone who's been to Ronda will tell you it's a gem and a place to savour. Well, this is the place to savour while you're there. To begin with, location; It's right in the old town on a streetlet (meaning a small car can get through to it but go no further without a stiff drink and pull the mirrors...

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a walking tour, it is in the old section of the city and very close to the main location of the bridge. They upgraded us to a junior suite which I loved, there was a little reading nook in it that I did not want to leave much. We were...

We were made so welcome here! They took the time to show us a good walking route away from the crazy tourist-jammed main area of Ronda. There was a quiet little lounge where you can read and have a drink. This is not a bar, you can buy a small bottle of wine and some snacks from the office. Amazing...

Lovely quaint hotel in old Ronda, easy walking to the bridge and the newer shopping district of Ronda. The staff was very helpful and professional. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was quite nice. No parking on site but we parked in a lot a couple of blocks from the hotel. We liked Ronda and we loved Hotel San...

At the conclusion of a recent On Foot walking vacation through the "white villages" of Andalucia, we were delighted to ascend into the old section of the magnificently sited Ronda and to find ourselves in the classic Hotel San Gabriel. We had a beautifully refurbished third-floor room on a light, quiet interior courtyard, for refreshing air. The front desk staff,...

For us, this place has got the lot. A beautiful building with wonderfully furnished rooms, immaculately clean and perfectly located for a stroll around the old town. The owners could not be more welcoming and helpful and the free parking is really useful. It's such a relief to be able to leave the car in a safe place down the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This carefully restored building dates from the 18th century and lies in the most historic district of Ronda, surrounded by ancient monuments.Retaining much of its original charm, the San Gabriel still displays an attractive stone façade and the coat of arms of one of its former owners. Spend a quiet moment in the library corner or in the typically Andalusian courtyard, full of plants and a trickling fountain. Here you can start the day with the hotel’s delicious breakfast. You can also enjoy a film in the intimate cinema room, which includes red velvet seats taken from the city’s old cinema. Combined with its privileged location, the hotel facilities make this a truly authentic Spanish setting for your holiday in rural Andalusia. ... more   less
