The only negative thing to say about this hotel is that we could only stay for two nights, at least 3 or 4 nights is needed to see all the sights which are close by. Clearly you will need a car, but the countryside, the historic sites, the Roman ruins and the little white Andalusian hill towns provided memories that...

Hello Australia! Thank you so much for stating our most recurrent critic - and certainly also for your kind words about what we do. Not only you hoped to have stayed longer, also we like to see our guests for more than a few days in order to be able to know about their wishes before they ask as this...

I brought my family to this hotel in December 2016. We arrived car and followed the signs. Luckily we had a GPS which helped us immensely. This hotel is not in or close to downtown Rhonda. It is about 15 minutes away. So if you're thinking you are close to any restaurants, you are not. You would have to drive...

Dear Eston, Thank you so much for your review. We are very happy that you were having a good time. Thank you for your compliments about the rooms and the beauty- it seems we have the same taste, also about the food. My son, the head-chef and his team will be very glad to hear, as food is his passion....

We stayed in the Double Suite for two nights in November. We would have liked to spend a much longer amount of time here. Of all of the places we stayed in Spain, this is probably the one we will look back on with the fondest memories. WiFi 1-2 Mbps measured on fast.com. View Really, really great view. Some rooms...

Dear Thomas, Thank you very much for your very detailed and lovely review. We not only like the nice words about what we do but also the (unfortunate) reminder we will pass on to our wifi-man. Also the electricity indeed has its literal ups-and-downs. Endesa-company (and monopole!) is trying to solve the issue for the last months. Thank you for...

After travelling through the winding hills up & up into the magical mystical town of Ronda, that looks like a backdrop from the Game Of Thrones, we finally arrived at the spectacular "Hotel La Fuente de la Higuera." This secluded haven that was originally an old mill, is set deep in the valley and is surrounded by olive trees and...

Dear Daliah, Oh how wonderful to hear. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. I wished I could have met you, unfortunately I was in Malaga during your stay. I hope to be able to meet you on your next visit and will let my son and team know how much you love the food too! Thank you again...

Hotel La Fuente de la Higuera is an elegant, small inn--truly a destination itself. Located in a rural, agricultural area an easy drive from Ronda, the inn’s grounds are beautifully landscaped with aromatic trees and gorgeous flowering shrubs. The sparkling pool and verdant garden invite guests to relax and stay put, to enjoy the views of possibly the lushest countryside...

Thank you so much for your lovely review. By reading your beautiful use of language I guess you must be a writer or should be one at least! I love the bit that, in your eyes, we have achieved what elite hotels aspire to be... this is indeed what we are aiming for. We hope very much to be able...

Do yourself a favour and stay in the beautiful countryside outside the busy and touristy city of Ronda. The setting, the quality of the buildings and grounds, the beautifully appointed private room and bathroom and siting area and deck, the food, the helpful staff all added to a fantastic stay at the end of my 3 week spanish vacation. Also...

Dear Jenny, Thank you very much for your kind words and sharing them with the world. I agree about the longer stay. After a couple of days we start knowing our guests by name and their preferences , which to me is a lovely touch of luxury of any hotel. We hope to be able to welcome you here with...

We spent two nights at the Hotel la Fuente de la Higuera. It was a little difficult to find but I called and they immediately set me straight. The room was lovely. Use the mosquito net around the bed. You are in the country! The food is fabulous and you are encouraged to pick figs off the "higueras" (fig trees)....

Wonderful location set off the beaten track. After exploring Ronda, my wife and I stayed here at the end of our travels before heading back to the U.S. And the only downside, was we wish we'd had the availability to spend at least one more night to take advantage of the small property and peaceful location. Clean and comfortable room,...

Dear David, Thank you so much for your kind words. You mentioned one of my favorite criticisms: not having had enough time to enjoy! We have stayed in many wonderful hotels around the world, but this is world-class. Our room, #5 had a huge balcony overlooking the valley and beautiful pool was amazing. The restaurant is fabulous, and the staff is so thoughtful. Do yourself and your spouse a favor book a couple of nights in this oasis.

This about as good as it gets. Lovely place, rooms to die for, incredible views and lovely people. They are out in the country so don't count on walking to much.
