Spent 2 comfortable nights in Bear Room and enjoyed the complimentary pool (would hv been USD15 per entry). Went dog sledding and a USD75 Aurora tour which was really worth it. Tour brought us up to the mountains and we were treated to dancing Aurora...More
We took an evening tour to Chena Hot Springs Resourt without any expectations and I guess it was OK for the money. The place has it's own slow pace, whether it is the restaurant or the pool. But the pool definitely needs some serious "freshing-up"....More
We had a great 4-day vacation at Chena Hotsprings and we found the staff incredibly helpful and friendly; each and everyone one of them made us feel so welcome. The staff at the restaurant were especially amazing as they all went out of their way...More

We rented a car in Anchorage for the two weeks we were in Alaska. There are tours that will take you to Chena Hot Springs, however a car gives you the flexibility to stop and enjoy and photograph the beautiful scenery and wildlife as you want. The grounds at the Hot Springs are beautiful. The ice sculpture igloo is a must see, also the sled dog kennel. Time did not permit us a horseback ride through the area. It was a fun Alaska adventure.
