This is such a beautiful lodge in such a beautiful location. It is remote but easy to get to. And the food is outstanding! We only stayed one night, sadly, but enjoyed the solitude and outdoor adventures (snowshoeing). But the best thing was the glorious view of the Northern Lights from the back deck! Oh and the lovely people! Highly...

Spent three days and two nights with my wife at the Lodge at Black Rapids over a long weekend. We ate all of our meals at the lodge and took part in several hours of self-guided snowshoeing. The location is incredibly remote with stunning views in all directions. The quality of the lodge and the room we stayed in was...

From the moment we arrived, on a snowy, windy evening, to a blazing fire in the massive, heat retaining, fireplace, we felt welcomed and at home--if home were that nice. The incredible attention to even the smallest detail, like the mother-of-pearl highlights in the tile-work to the gorgeous hand turned wrought iron pieces that are everywhere in evidence makes this...

Stayed during the winter, Chef Charlie was top notch and one of the best meals I have had in Alaska and I have been traveling extensively around the state for 25 years. He also helped me out when my truck broke down a few miles down the road. Room was excellent and very large. Ask for a room with a...

I stayed at this lodge with a large group of family and had the most incredible time ever! First off, the staff, including the chefs and the tour guides, were all beyond amazing! The food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was delicious! Everything including the rooms and bathroom felt really clean. We never even had a chance to be bored...

We enjoyed an incredible weekend getaway at this amazing lodge in January 2017. We weren't sure what we had gotten ourselves into when we embarked on our trip and found ourselves driving through a blizzard from Fairbanks to get to the lodge but were pleasantly surprised at this "little piece of heaven" nestled into the heart of the Alaskan Range....

The folks that work here, Donella the baker, Charley the cook, and David our tour guide made our visit to this log cabin lodge a very wonderful experience! Charley fed us along with Donella every day with some tasty breakfasts and dinners. Coffee was always hot and ready. There is also wine, beer, and more strong spirits available to enjoy...

What a wonderful memory! Thank you for sharing and taking the time. Such a great description.....We so appreciate it! Turn down service is now a daily occurrence! Happy winter and northern lights!

We arrived after dark in a blizzard to this homey lodge and were welcomed at the door by Charlie the cook and Donella the cake/pie maker. Soothing blues and beautiful details provided extra ambience to an already gorgeous lodge where no detail was not carefully tended to. We sat before the fire with the staff and discussed diner ad breakfast...

Great location. Wonderful people. Brandon and McKenzie took us on an incredible glacier hike. Charlie the chef was five star. His food was perfect for winter hiking. This is a fabulous place. I recommend this Lodge as an excellent way to experience Alaska.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hand built lodge on three occasions. The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and food is great. Hard to believe you can live in such luxury in the middle of the Alaskan Range Mountains. If you are lucky, the northern lights will give you an incredible show. All the employees were...
