We spent three nights ashore at the Tamarind Beach during the course of a 2 week holiday cruising on a friends’ boat in the Grenadines. We wished we had spent longer! The welcome we received from the management all the way through to the beach staff was excellent. The managers, Cinzia and Angelo, a delightful Italian couple with many years’...

We had a beautiful all wooden suite right on the beach with 2 bathrooms. We initially couldn't get the internet and our fridge needed defrosting. The staff were wonderful and had the island internet provider come straight out and fixed it and Roland, the maintenance man, immediately replaced the fridge. The food was great and service superb. Just enough people...

We spent 10 days at The Tamarind Beach in late September / early October, which is their low season. We were a little surprised however to find out that for the first 6 days, we were the only people staying in the entire hotel! We had however, come to relax and this is a very pleasant place to do that....

Tamarind My wife and I (coming in from New York) stayed at the Tamarind for 10 days in October 11. Arguably the "low season". We came to spend the days relaxing, reading, swimming mixed with a bit of diving. And we got exactly that and more.  Canouan is a small island with nothing much to do. You can stroll the...

Firstly a reminder Canouan is a very small island, with very few people and therefore not much life outside of the hotel. Given this you need the hotel to be excellent and the Tamarind although good is not excellent. The location is pretty ideal, the beach is nice and the swimming in the bay is good plus kayaks and pedalos...

Oh my God, it is the best place ever: the cleanest rooms, the best restaurant, the friendliest staff you could ever imagine! The rooms are along the white sand beach.... with private access from the terrace! We loved it!! ... amazing sunsets and fantastic boat trips! We recommend it with 2 thumbs up!!!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel over Easter 2011. We booked a standard room on the full board basis and got upgraded to the suite. The room was beautiful, specious and right in the beach. We enjoyed the sound of waves and signing frogs every evening. Simply delightful. The place is quiet, beautiful and very relaxing. This is...

The vacation was great. Hotel rooms had character and the hotel had a personal, intimate feel. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a personal/ intimate quiet and relaxing holiday get-away.

Hard to believe the other reviews are about the same place. We stayed there as we were picking up a boat from the Moorings the next day. The unit we stayed in was very average and certainly not worth $340 per night. There was a motion sensor controlled light right outside our room which kept turning on and off all...

Canouan is a pretty small isolated island and thats what really makes the place. Its a perfect place to unwind, read a book and generally just relax. The hotel is nice, with all the rooms right on the beach and they all have a little deck you can sit out on if you would like. The beach is well maintained...
