This was my 3rd trip to the resort but first with my family and it always amazes me. We visited Aamby Valley City in Jan 2020 to celebrate our wedding anniversary and this trip turned out to be a perfect laidback family vacation that lived up to its promise of spending a great weekend in absolute luxury, peace and thrill ! We drove down from Mumbai on a friday afternoon and reached the resort in 3 hours. The drive itself to this resort is very scenic and mesmerizing and would highly recommend travelers to rent a car or self drive to this resort for a great start to your vacation. Upon reaching, our check in was smooth and were well taken care of by the staff taht ensured we relax and rest after the long journey. We stayed in the Australian Chalet which are some of the best rooms you could stay in. Luckily our room was close to the Woodpecker restaurant and the swimming pool and a children's play area which made our stay all the more memorable. The location of Aussie chalets are excellent since the major attractions are quite close by to these rooms, especially the rooms located near the pool. So would suggest you to take your room closer to the pool area. The resort offers an excellent breakfast and ample dining options in their multi cuisine restaurants namely Namak, Lake view and Woodpecker. One word of advise though, Namak offers Indian fine dining restaurant and the Lake view cafe has a limited menu which is good for some evening lite bites and drinks. The food served overall is excellent but we would expected a better menu at the Lake view cafe since it offers a great view and has a nice ambience to it, especially int he evening. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and throughly enjoyed our stay. We indulged in jet ski rides, horse riding for the kids and the musical fountain show which is a must watch for those who love magical shows using specially programmed musical fountains and water projection. However this show is now paid and no longer free to in house residents or guests staying at the property. But having said that, it's totally worth experiencing it. If you're traveling with kids, do check out the horse riding range, as there are beautiful well maintained horses for kids to enjoy it. In monsoons, this resort is in its full glory and nature trail or the waterfall safari is a must for travelers. For adventure seekers, apart form the activities inside the property, you could also do much more at 19degree north which is Aamby's adventure camp just outside the property. Overall we had an excellent experience at Amby Valley city and thank the staff and management for being so courteous and warm for ensuring great hospitality.

The overall expanse of the property is amazing and if you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is a great option. The rooms definitely require upkeep and maintenance since they are run down in parts so the rate will feel overpriced however if you take into account access to the entire township with all it has to offer, it is reasonable value for money.

Lots of activities including a nice pool, horse riding and water sports by the lake. Just driving around the township and stopping at several joints serving street side food is fun. Plenty of photography opportunities too.

Breakfast spread was good however it was overcrowded and created stress on the service. On the other hand, dining at Namak was a wonderful experience. Lagoon is a good option by the lake. The watch tower bar at the end felt like a well kept secret with stunning views.

In case you're staying at the chalets, get a room on the first floor rather than the ground floor as the wood makes a lot of creaking noise as people walk around.

Great for a peaceful getaway as a couple or family.

Let me start off by saying that the view is amazing, and thats the only good part about this place, I'd rather stay in the car then stay in the room.

Terrible service

Nobody answers the phone, for 2 days I kept calling the housekeeping nobody answered
Even the reception doesn't answer calls

The mini fridge didnt work it took them 1 and a half day to replace that

They charge you for extra cutlery even after picking up food from the restaurant within the premises

They charge you for fresh glasses and cups, when i told them that its used and i need new ones, someone actually came and washed the glasses and cups in the bathroom!!

None of the restaurants follow Covid protocols, and if u follow them and manage to take a take away from the restaurant they charge you for the plates.
After all of that the food is very mediocre

They even charge you for an ice bucket, even though the fridge doesn't work.

Its surprising that they dont charge for the air you breathe

Anytime you call the DUTY MANAGER he is unavailable

If ever anyone answers the call and you make a complaint, they ask to be kept on hold or that they'll call you back and then never pick up your call!!!

This really is the worse service ive ever experienced, trust you dont wanna waste your time and money on this place

The beer is for 500rs but with tax it becomes 750, 50%tax!!

For the breakfast there's a 1 hour waiting.

Buggy drivers refuse to drop you anywhere, you have to wait forever for the buggy to come pick you up
The alternative to that is to walk to your car from the room, where the pathway is completely dark without a single light.

The rooms are extremely dusty

The housekeeping/in room dining dont come to clear your plates, if u keep it outside the room it remains there till eternity they dont clear that, eventually monkeys come and finish off the left overs and clear the plates. Monkeys would run this place better.

This entire review doesnt do justice to how terrible the experience oh sorry the lack of experience was.

I am really disappointed with the kind of service that we received at Aamby Valley. I have mentioned the same in the log book of your service desk as well.

Despite repeated instructions to Mr. Akram and Ms. Ritu from front desk regarding the challenges that we were facing upon check-in, there was absolutely zero support from their side. Please find below points for your perusal:

1. The room lights were not functioning properly and the entire room was dingy. Attached video for your reference. Mr. Akram and Ms. Ritu promised that they would send someone, but there was no one who turned up till today morning

2. There was a complimentary cake which was supposed to be delivered in the room. That never happened. And no one bothered to check as well.

3. My wife is pregnant and we told Mr. Akram that the WC is too low for her and she was struggling to use the same. Again, no response and all he kept repeating was that we are fully booked and we can't do anything.

4. There is absolutely no Covid appropriate behaviour at Woodpecker. People are not being asked to put on a mask while approaching the buffet. We recently were at The Westin in Mumbai, and they are excellent at maintaining Covid appropriate behaviour. How can you guys not take Covid seriously? Isn't it a shame that you call yourself 5 star and this is the kind of service that you have?

5. We were promised to get the room changed on 28th August, but no one bothered to call or check. Your team thinks of us as illiterates who just wanted a free upgrade. However, there was zero empathy shown despite repeatedly saying that it was my wife's birthday weekend and that it would be her last trip before her delivery. No one cared. Is this the kind of service expected from a so-called 5 star ?

Please be informed that I would be posting this entire experience on all social media handles, so that people know what kind of pathetic service you guys are providing in the name of 5 star.

I am utterly shocked to see the kind of pathetic service and people that you have hired to take care of your customer grievances. Please ask your team not to use the phrase Sahara Pranam, if they have no idea what it means and how to keep the service impeccable. Thank you so much for ruining such an important weekend for me. I don't think I would recommend or visit Aamby Valley ever again.

The property is definitely breathtaking but the food is not at all what you would expect being a 5 star.

The housekeeping is horrible. Our coffee maker in the room was stinking, we asked for a replacement and he got back the same one after cleaning which we realised because it was still stinking.

The housekeeping knocked the door and he just barged in with the master key to give the towels despite knowing there are guests inside which was absolutely shocking

Third thing in our absence the housekeeping entered and kept the stuff in our room.

This was simply an unsafe experience. We always had to keep our room locked.

You guys really need to train the staff well. No social distancing maintained no protocols in place

We doubt if the rooms also were santized.

Went there with family for long weekend with great hopes but the hopes were all hypes and i should have trusted reviews i read, but i still thought it would be worth trying once here. But not again, thanks.

Woodpecker restaurant is too slow, people working there are not happy. AC was not on for lunch even if there were more than 30 people including kids having lunch.

Lake front cafe is good and people there are humble and fast. Tasty food at both the restaurants though.

For the price paid, no room sleepers, no iron - only ironing board, hair dryer not working, shaving kit absent, open wires below bathroom mirror..very risky, drainage at bathroom horrible, it needs five minutes after your shower for water to drain out, same with wash basin. Overall room upkeep not good, Cobwebs at corners, previous guests hair on sofa welcrow, sofa seems not vacuumed for ages, bedsheets stinking of previous guest's perspiration, balcony light not working, in-room coffemaker kettle leaking and the mugs were not cleaned, minibar empty, white fridge turned yellow and not working, bath towels not washed properly, no laundry bags, no laundry, etc etc.

Garbage everywhere including empty liquor bottles in front of Aussie rooms, disposable dishes, condoms and cigarette butts. Also the sever domes in front of Aussie rooms were open which is risky from reptiles perspective.

The property seems neglected and they are only focussing on hosting large groups from Mumbai and Pune for conferences at the cost of proper service, room upkeep and hygiene. Not recommended!

We went with our whole family booking 6 aveda suites. The first night while we were sleeping I saw a mice running on my husbands arm ! Imagine my horror, especially when my 1 year old was sleeping right next to him ! Petrified I ran out with my child and we slept on extra beds in our brothers room. Next day they caught 4 mice in front of me from our room ! It seems like a normal practise for them as they were like it’s a forest it happens ! Like really ! In a so called 5 star resort which charges like one ! We were resting the next day when it started raining & there was a waterfall in my bedroom … not even exaggerating (see pics). They changed us into another suite which was fine until night when 2 huge rats where seen running on the curtains ! Again we had to take out luggage & sleep in our brothers room while at 1:30 am distrubing him as well. Went for 4 nights n changed 3 rooms ! Living in a tent would have been better. Missed out on activities because of this.

We also had a snake in the outer area of our parents room ! It was so scary for me that I refused to be alone in the room even for a minute.
There was nothing relaxing or luxurious about this holiday .. it was so stressful.

Does the management think it’s easy to keep changing rooms especially with a small child with all the luggage ?? They seem so helpless while dealing with our problems. Cld only shift is from one crappy suite to another crappy one.
Saw this same thing being done with the other guest while I was there… it looks like a normal practice. They know there are problems but they don’t want to repair/address them … only keep shifting guest from one room to another.
There is absolutely no maintenance at this property nor is the owner/management interested in doing so. It’s like a chalta hai kind of an attitude.
Room service is expensive… will arrive after an hour with cold food & missing cutlery.
There is nothing grand about their buffet either … it’s repetitive & basic.

I planned to give my girlfriend a surprise marriage proposal, so I asked the Guest relations department to help me prepare for the same. Mansi Paul from Guest Relations took care of everything in such a short time. She suggested some amazing ideas for decorating the room, making it Soo very personal for the both of us and she did it all sooo beautifully that even I, who knew what was going to be in the decoration was completely awestruck with the quality of execution. She also made sure that she is present in the room to even record our entry and the the proposal in such an amazing manner, I mean what more can anybody ask for. Such minute detailing to the entire decoration and the amazing Valley view rooms with a private Jacuzzi, it truly was a dream proposal that both my Girlfriend and I could ever ask for. Thank you Soo much to the entire staff of Amby Valley and special thanks to Mansi Paul(Guest Relations) who made it all possible.

Amby Valley is truly the nearest heaven on earth to both major cities, Mumbai and Pune. We truly had the best weekend outing ever.

Thank you.

This property is huge that their own staff cannot access it in time, too uptight in terms of their policies. Outside Alchohol and food is not allowed in room itself, and when you ask for menu in room, they take 35 min to provide the menu, half of the options from the menu are not available, the ones available are the too expensive ones. Again they take order and take almost 45 min to deliever 2 drinks at your room. You pay 20k for a royal suite here to get a view, but there is no view as the property is not maintained, you cannot see any vally or water body from room as it's now covered with trees so dont expect what you see in photos. Not worth spending 15k to 20k for a room.
Better go with Hilton which is on the same hill mostly 15 min away from this property.
Over all experience is very bad. Spoiled my anniversary.
