Bosque del Cabo is my personal slice of eco-heaven, and the perfect place for us to get married. After a worldwide search for a less logistically challenged wedding location than The Gambia, West Africa (where I had served with the US Peace Corps and originally planned to get married), we decided on the Osa peninsula. Bosque del Cabo won us... More

We have been to Bosque the past 2 summers. It is a family friendly environment. My children, ages 9 and 12, have had experiences that most people will only dream about having. We loved looking in the trees above us and seeing howler and spider monkeys. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, crews are constantly maintaining the flora. The food is... More

We just returned from 5 nights at Bosque del Cabo. It was a wonderful place to stay. The grounds and cabinas were beautiful and comfortable. There were wonderful experiences to be had right on the grounds by the restaurant, pool, and cabinas. In that area alone we saw beautiful chestnut mandibled toucans, red legged honeycreepers, Cherries' Tanagers, Howler, Spider, and... More

Our family of 10, 6 adults ages 41 to 73, and 4 children ages 7 to 10, chose Bosque del Cabo on the recommendation of friends as a place to have a unique family experience in a natural, rain forest setting. We stayed 8 days, and were not disappointed. The accommodations were comfortable, and the food was plentiful and delicious.... More

We stayed in Casa Blanca with our son and 2 grandkids, one 11 and the other 17. Everyone had a great time. We enjoyed the little swimming hole in the small river several times. The water was so fresh and nice, and deep enough to really swim in. We went on 2 hikes with Phillip. The night hike was very... More

We just returned from our 5th trip! We come to Bosque del Cabo every year, and this year we made the trip twice. This is the most amazing place in Costa Rica, hands down. Amazing wildlife, the most delicious food, and the most attentive, amazing, efficient staff. If you do a lot of traveling to 5 star resorts all over... More

I just finished another wonderful photo workshop at Bosque del Cabo. I have been coming to this lodge for 23 years and am always amazed how perfect this place is! The cabins, food, staff, and the location make this lodge one of my favorite in the entire world. Being a wildlife photographer, I spend a lot of time at eco-lodges... More

I will try to make unique comments bc I agree with all the others. We just got back from a week over Xmas. My husband and I just got back a few days ago from a three-week holiday trip to Costa Rica. We stayed at three different lodges (Bosque del Cabo, Copa de Arbol, Tortuga Lodge and Gardens) and all three stays were incredible, even though the experience at each was unique. First a few words about us; we are both biologists and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bosque del Cabo is a romantic getaway and a naturalist’s dream, come true. Crowning a point 500 feet above where the Golfo Dulce meets the Pacific Ocean, nestled in the unspoiled jungles of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula is a paradise found. Located in a unique and fortunate position at the very tip of the Osa Peninsula in the southern Pacific region of Costa Rica, this 750+ acre forest reserve features private, spacious bungalows and gorgeous houses perched atop the cliffs of Cabo Matapalo, each with beautiful ocean views, tropical breezes and the rainforest at your doorstep; or choose beautiful and rustic garden view accommodations surrounded by thriving rainforests. Hiking trails lead you through the forest to deserted beaches on both the Golfo Dulce and Pacific Ocean.
