There was a total of four of us. We shared the room with two beds and had plenty of space. We were gone majority of the day but we enjoyed staying up late with locals and people who were visiting. The property is very secluded with a community and intimate setting. When you get closer be sure to follow the signs and not the directions since it takes you to a different street. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful with where to go during your stay. The night time energy was so peaceful and a great way to disconnect away from the madness. We will definitely be back!!

Excellent service, very comfortable facilities, very clean! A quiet place to enjoy with the familyā€¦ but best of all, the luxury hostess dog that accompanies you to your room and greets you every time you return to the hotel. Widely recommended!

It's a small property - just five units. They are new and clean inside. We appreciated the cold A/C, clean room, comfortable bed, nice smelling linens and towels and the view from our outdoor seating. We did not find it difficult to locate as other reviewers have mentioned. They have small signs on the roads indicating the direction.

What they could improve upon, for a place charging $155 a night, is including a simple breakfast and not just coffee, having cups in the rooms and a hot water kettle for those who want to make their own tea or coffee (instant).

We felt completing safe on the property and it is central to a lot of places we visited during our stay.

Note: there is NO wifi in the rooms. Do not go there expecting there to be.

Bad experience. Arrived to a very cold room with an infant. Heater provided did not work and was not able to warm up room to safe temp so we left to check into a new modern hotel for half the cost & with working heat. Need 4x4 or high clearance vehicle to access property safely, many large pot holes and dips on long muddy road where we were close to being stuck. Staff was nice but not particularly helpful and the place seems cool however the lack of heat makes this place like a glamping experience not as advertised, not a 150+ usd a night accommodation. There isnt a restaurant or food on site even though this is noted in booking. The room floor was dirty. No kettle or coffee maker in room as promised and WiFi signal not usable, among many other missing amenities. Should be properly advertised and advise to guests that property doesnā€™t have adequate heat, access is limited to certain vehicles especially during rainy periods, long dirt road is only accessible road, not suitable for kids or infants, amenities promised are not entirely provided, etc.

Positive - the owners were friendly. Nice tile in the shower.

Not so positive - place is ridiculously hard to find. Signage is horrible. GPS takes you to the vicinity, but the last couple miles you are on your own. Even though we arrived during the day, we made many wrong turns. No lights at night so arrive during daylight hours. The room was lovely - except for the fleas. And other small, tiny, crawling bugs. By morning we had numerous fleas on/in the bed. I grew up on a farm, so I understand when outside of a city there are more creatures. This went beyond a few.

Even for the price I would not stay here again.

It was a very secluded and peaceful stay at Santerra. The owners were so nice and kind. Small and intimate and exactly what we wanted! The most adorable hidden treasure in Valle Guadalupe. Highly recommend it for couples looking for a nice weekend getaway, away from people and electronics.

This place was pretty hard to find. Donā€™t use a gps or anything because you will get lost. I suggest to not arrive at night because there are no lights and no signage to get to the hotel. Was able to spot the rooms from a ā€œmainā€ road due to the white and blue colors. Once you get your bearings itā€™s pretty easy to get to the main road. Had no trouble getting back and forth. Very new spot and I believe only 5 rooms total so itā€™s a very quite romantic getaway. Room was nice and cozy with minimal things needed to stay. They had a portable heater which we used because it got very cold. Coffee pot in room with coffee for you to use. No fridge or microwave.

*Great location, quick drive to wineries & restaurants
*Delicious breakfast included - featuring chilaquiles, french toast, fried eggs, etc.
*Quiet and charming, with comfortable beds and solid AC with an adorable patio
*Communal dining area + hammock area were beautiful
*The cutest, friendliest dogs!

I read previous reviews about the roads - it's about a 5 minute drive on a non-paved road, but I had no problem driving there with my VW Golf.

We had an adventure trying to find this place. There are no signs and the map they sent was not much use as apparently there are two Porvenir named roads in the area. We had several locals trying to help us find the place. None of them knew where it was. One young man took it upon himself to make sure that we found our way. He got his car and a local map and thought he could take us there. We followed and we got to the second Porvenir all right but still no luck. We said that we had a phone number and he called and spoke to the people at the hotel. We then drove around for quite some time with him talking to the hotel people. It was long past dark at this point. We drove around some more and eventually found it. We got frustrated and finally I spoke to the hotel person. And he said where are you your room is ready? Grr. When the young man finally got us there, our room that was supposed to be waiting and ready for us was freezing cold. The young lady told us to turn on the heater which was a little tiny portable one. Now to be fair once we found the place the room was very nicely done with a lovely shower. It had a beautiful view overlooking some vineyards and the whole area is lovely. I spoke to a gentleman the next morning he also asked how we had managed to find the place. They went through a similar experience and they were travelling with a Mexican native as well. It took us several hours in all to find this hotel. There is not a single sign anywhere even at the entrance to the property. I think that they may have opened before being fully ready. Even with the discount for our dissatisfaction we found it to be rather pricey for what we got. There are no facilities only rooms. Th young Mexican man and other locals who tried to help us are one of the main reasons we love Mexico but this casita left us with a poor taste in our mouths. Their staff also left something to be desired.
