Hi, my name is Debbie and I am from Belgium, flemish part. I will try to write in english, so I reach a larger audiance :)
I arrived at the wounderfull Anema Wellness & Resort and got a personal meeting with the manager who explained everything in person of what to expect at the hotel. He could speak very well english and frensh, witch for me was great! I got a welcome drink and a tour around the hotel. I even got a small welcoming massage of 15 minutes during my stay. For a small upprice, an upgrade to a very luxurious villa with big pool, lots of windows and a jacuzzi was offered, but since I was travelling alone, the standard room with minipool was already luxurious and dreamy enough for me.
The hotel was very quiet and peacefull. I could relax immediatly and the warm welcome of the personel was great! Due to a storm, Wifi did not work in the rooms, but we were offered WIFI @ the restaurand, @ the reception and even sometimes @ the pool via hotspot of the private phones of personel... speaking of service and hospitality!!
The food was lovely and the prices were ok. Not that expensive, but for the quality of food you got, it was cheap...
The second day i booked a snorkelingtrip offered by the hotel that took me to all 3 of Gili Islands and to various snorkeling places. I even swom with and saw 5 different big seaturtles. For 65 euro's i got a whole day of sun, fun, music, drinks, food, fruit and surrounded by lovely people. There is were I met Apri, the most fun girl to hang out with! The day before i asked the hotel if the captain speaks English, but because his English was not that fluent, they send Apri with us on the boat who speaks it perfectly! Not only on the boat was the personel or Apri so nice... also during the whole stay @ the hotel.
The room itself was spacious, clean, had a very chique bathroom and a private Minipool. It was an amazing dream stay at Anema. The hotel main pool is an infinitypool that overlooks the quiet bay, where you can make nice and easy beachwalks. Also worth mentioning is the cosy little Café next door, with the lovely young man Dimas, who was happy to receive you very friendly and optimistic. All the experiences I have of Anema are great memories. I made great friendships, that will last forever. And again, special thanks to my sweet friend i met there, Apri :)

We had a great stay here. A lovely drink and flower garland on arrival and a warm welcome. We upgraded our room at a small cost so we could enjoy a larger private pool. Lovely room which we enjoyed having our own time in. Food was great but we feel there was too many staff to serve just 2 tables. Staff were just stood about waiting for our next move Which made us feel a little uncomfortable. No fault of there own though. They were all very very nice and helpful. We had a free massage which we enjoyed so much that we booked an extra hour each. Food was lovely. Hotel prices high as to be expected. Great little cafe next door on the beach. They will welcome you too. Moped hire available which we did to get out for the day. Some lovely spots nearby. We had a great stay, thank you so much. I hope you get more guests as it was very quiet. A little too quiet. Good luck guys. We hope to return one day.

Dear Mr. Dan P, Thank you for your review. We are great full for the positive side and we will work more for the point we have to improve. A little note, staff there we train to always look after guest need it, we will find the way to make guest comfortable with that situation, well noted. Recently we do have many outsider coming, so we do have normally 5 staff in charge per shift, again, our goal to deliver best service. We are looking forward to welcoming you again near in the future. Best, Heru, Resort Manager

We felt so welcomed and happy from the moment we arrived! They gave us flower leis and a refreshing tea, upon arrival. We were underwhelmed by our room (the least expensive option) and were graciously given choices to upgrade. We chose a suite with private pool, for $30 USD/nt more, and were THRILLED!! We hope to return and spend longer! (We considered Hotel Tugu Lombok, ~$200 USD/nt, but were glad we chose Anema, after we visited Tugu)
Staff was VERY responsive (and easy via WhatsApp).
Beautiful restaurant space was open to the ocean. The food was fresh and delicious.
Best to tip when check out, as tip box at front is split among staff.
Massage was reasonable, and good (tip her directly). I was able to book massage same morning.
Did not like that we were not given dive shop info before arrival, even though I asked for it. We were not able to book it or a ride to the Gilli's from Anema in our short time there (I chose this resort to be able to easily dive the Gilli's, so I give them only 4 out of 5). Otherwise, Excellent experience! Look up Terumbudivers.com and book in advance.
Staff called Bluebird taxi back to airport for us. Make sure they use the meter. It cost ~$35 USD. (The hotel offered a private car to the airport for $50 USD)

This hotel describes itself as 4 or 5 stars and it could be BUT!
We had booked a “junior suite” and specifically asked for (and had had confirmed ) a twin room. When we arrived we were shown a pokey double that hadn’t been cleaned properly. It reminded us of the sort of edge of town budget hotel you might stay in for a night en route to somewhere. After a while they moved us to the same size room with an additional bed (small room made even smaller with an extra single) - we weren’t happy but what could we do? No walk in shower, just an over the bath shower attachment, room safe wasn’t working and was so small it only fitted passports and wallets. Eventually we were moved to a villa with a small pool and two good sized beds and proper bathroom. Room safe once again wasn’t working!! Once that was sorted we were happy to stay. The main feeling one gets here is they want to squeeze every penny they can out of you. For example drinking water (not mineral water just regular drinking water) - when it’s as hot as it is here you NEED to drink a lot of water. Charging something like $2 for a carafe is outrageous. For the 3 nights we stayed the power went out in our room around 2am.. each time we called reception at least six times until finally someone replied, on the second night I wondered around until I found the security guard and he found someone to fix it.. the electricity in the room is operated by the key card which also meant coming back to a HOT room as the air con was off all day (and in our case half the night too!) - and no, putting another card in the slot didn’t work, we tried it!
The food was OK, not fantastic but reasonable.
The staff were as helpful and charming as they could be but overall we felt there was no one really managing the place.
The views and location were gorgeous. If you are going to stay here, make sure you get a villa (but not no. 8!) as the rooms are really disappointing. The hotel also arrange a snorkelling trip for us which was expensive ($69 pp) but wonderful.
With decent management and some attention to detail this place could be really wonderful, but it needs work.

Dear Osteogill, First of all, we do apologies for any inconvenience cause. Thank you for your input, we will take it seriously to improve the level of our service. Regarding the water, daily complimentary water we provide in the room, in the restaurant indeed its charge. We are look forward to have an opportunity to welcoming you again with excellent service. Best, Heru, Resort Manager

Words cannot describe how amazing the resort is. It’s Lombok’s hidden gem hotel that is close to the Bali speed boat port and Gili Islands.
The staff welcome you with open arms and each morning and night made our time more and more special with their personal approach and having every member of staff calling you by your name.
The room was lovely. We opted for a villa closest to the pool and sea where the room is large, cool, beautiful private pool and stunning stone roll bath top.
The main pool has a wonderful infinity style to it where you can see the sea and even spent time in the water. I used the free canoes a few times as the view is spectacular looking into the mountains and volcano (sunrise is beyond special here).
The resort is very private, the food is excellent especially the Indonesian menu but caters for all. You can have massages by the beach hearing the sound of oceans.
I would also say it’s more of a luxury sustainable hotel and conscious of the environment and its surroundings where you will also see see locals fish in front of you for their family’s catch.
The hotel offers a day snorkelling trip around then Gili Islands and feels very VIP and private as well as having the option to do a diving session too. Looking at the other tour boats it felt busy whereas the resort one had no more than 6 people at a time so it felt very personal.
We loved our stay here and have memories to last a timeline.

Anema the place to be in Indonesia!!!
We felt very welcome and had an amazing time at Anema.
Rooms were always clean and the private pool was a blessing. Bed was super comfortable and we get a very good rest. I highly recommend the massage which we booked in the hotel. If you are a foodie you will definitely have fun - local food was so delicious! We had issues with sun burn and the staff offered us aloe Vera plants to take best care of our skin.
We enjoyed as well a trip to the Gili islands and netfix in our room.
If you need a break to relax and chill, Anema is the right place.
Happy to see you again, soon
Thank you!

We arrived to Anema without booking and we’ve chosen a lovely villa with private pool. It was a true delight to have such luxury accommodation at the affordable price.
The room was very large and impeccable. There are tea and coffee making facilities.
The staff is working (too) hard to bring the clients such unique experience. I hope they are paid well enough for all the amazing work they do.
I used to wake up early and they were already busy with work! From 06:00 until late.
This resort organises number of activities and we have chosen a trip to the waterfalls. The route takes time because of the distance and narrow streets, so it’s better to travel to nearby locations.
Sira beach, where the resort is located, is a hidden gem of the shore. There are fews tourists and more locals, especially, the fishermen. There are great views and isolation from crowded places like Sengigi. It is possible to walk until the harbour for atm and some shopping.
Breakfasts are light, tasty and keep you energised until the lunchtime.
There is a spa outdoors right on the beach. The services are very good.
