It was a Saturday lunchtime when we pulled up at the Beechy, hard to tell whether they were open or not as it was very quiet. So glad we actually went in, the friendly hosts were very helpful with their lunch suggestions. I had the fresh caught gummy shark with chips and salad, my wife chose the beef burger with... More

Like other reviewers stumbled across the Beechy after going to Triplet Falls. We were ready for some lunch and were talked into the flat head tails by the chef as he made the beer batter behind the bar. Well the flat head tails were the best I have had. The batter was very light, the chips were like real potatoes... More

My partner and I stumbled across this place one night while lost in the Otways. We stopped in at about 8:30pm and were very hungry for dinner. Despite the fact they finished serving dinner for the night, the owner kindly offered to cook us up whatever we liked from the menu. We both ordered a burger and so the owner... More

Five of us ate here Saturday night - very nice meals all round. The chicken parms and hamburgers were delicious and the chips scored 10 out of 10! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The décor is typical of a country pub and the roaring fire was very inviting on a cold evening.

Stopped in on Mother's Day for a quick bite on our way home from camping. They have a very impressive basket of toys for the littles. We felt like we went to visit friends at their home rather than a pub. The coonara was a beautiful warm welcome and the people were just as warm. And...as it always has been.... More

We had a great time chatting to the owners, who were very friendly and welcoming. They gave us lots of local tips on the best places to hike in the area, and they stayed open for us on a Wednesday night long after we were the only people in the bar. The meals were sizeable and delicious, and the service... More

Had to find quick accommodation nearby as it was getting dark so we stayed here for the night. And were we glad we did. Rooms were well warmed with heaters and, on a cold winter night, the electric blankets were a very welcome amenity. The specials from the kitchen were generous and reasonably priced and their local brew was quite... More

went there with a couple of the locals, turning up 3 minutes before the kitchen closed. Nothing was too much trouble, the parmas and fish and chips were great, and the service efficient and very friendly. We ended up sitting up at the bar for another hour, with a couple visiting from the Auld Country who were staying at the... More

Went here with the boyfriend as we needed a weekend away from our stressful city life. Originally we had planned to get a fancy hotel in Apollo bay and just bunk in there all weekend, but changed my mind as I flicked thru pictures of the sites to see on the way up and was drawn to this hotel as...
