My daughter Gillian's wedding reception took place here on 10 July. The venue was laid out to our exact specification with beautiful extras put in place by Armando and his hard working team. Food, service , attention to detail exceeded my expectations. Many of our guests commented on how perfect the hotel was for a wedding. Those of us who stayed overnight had comfortable bedrooms and enjoyed a full cooked breakfast in the morning. Thank you once again for helping to make a wonderful day !

It had been a very stressful day, a long journey and another long return journey to come when this hotel offered a haven from it all. We were able to have tea while we very comfortably sat reading until we could get a table. We couldn't have been looked after better by Steve and Natascha who were so kind and understanding. Then, we had a delicious meal looked after by Steve and Stanislav. The customer service was superb and I have World Host customer service training myself. Steve and Natascha were wonderful as was Staislav who was particularly helpful. All three deserve rewarding. I can't say enough good things about the three of them. Absolutely superb. It was, however, disappointing not to be able to add a gratuity to my debit card payment. Happily, I had cash for these very deserving people. My only concern is with your ladies room. There is no sign as you are going IN about the step. The sign is on the inside of the door going OUT. Consequently, I fell over the step going in quite unnecessarily but without any real harm. Someone else might not be so lucky. This was no one's fault but you might want to reconsider where the warning sign is. The tape on the step which I saw going out isn't enough.

On booking our accommodation I did find it strange that the responder to my telephone enquiry was just over 3 miles away at the group’s sister hotel in Hamilton. On arrival where was the welcoming smile from a receptionist I had come to expect? No where to be found is the sad answer. I am guessing that in attempt to cut costs the hotel has chosen to do away with receptionists and other back of house admin support? What’s the difference - the difference is no welcoming smile instead replaced with a feeling that you are interrupting the night porter who then demands payment before directing you to your room. Without admin staff there is no option to charge items to your room at anytime during the stay. The staff who are there are friendly and doing the best in difficulty circumstances. A list of the coffee machine opening hours would help - it had to be “switched on” for a late night latte and then again for breakfast and always seemed to be “in another room.” And breakfast rolls have been taken off the menu too. I do hope this cost cutting strategy works out but sadly I am fearful of the hotel’s future.

Upon arrival our booking had not been entered even though we had phoned, card details were taken and we had received a confirmation email. We were put into whatever room they had available at that time. Once in the room, it was a nice room which almost made it a bit better but it wasn't the cleanist and the milk pods were 6 months out of date. The following morning we went for breakfast which was good. Here we booked a table for dinner as no one could be seen at reception. Upon arrival for dinner there was clearly no booking made as we were seated at a dirty table and weren't even given menus until 10/15 minutes of being there (even when given a menu, we were made to share 1). We received dirty cutlery, the table next to us was not cleared the full 2 hours we were there and no staff were wearing their masks. Overall we were very disappointed and will not be returning.

Had a wonderful day at Bothwell Bridge Hotel celebrating a friends hen. The staff were amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. The manager allowed us to go in the day before and helped us with setting up, which we were so grateful for. On the day of hen the staff couldn't have done enough for us and the high tea was delicious. All staff members wore masks and maintained social distancing. We all had a great time and made wonderful memories. Will definitely be back!

This hotel /dining is about a mile off the M74, junction 5 to Uddingston.
Parking at front of hotel.
Highly recommend Italian consommé chicken soup, steak pie and excellent macaroni cheese. Chips are a bit special. More than sufficient and excellent value.
A favourite when I get the opportunity.

Great location with free car parking. Room a bit tired but clean. Staff friendly. A bit expensive compared to other hotels in local area. Breakfast expensive as an add on. Bar is nice for a drink in the evening and can sit outside. Covid 19 procedures very well set up.

Had a deal to stay here which included dinner and a bottle of wine.
Friendly reception staff followed by lovely restaurant experience for dinner and breakfast. Food was really tasty.
Our room was on the ground floor. It was spacious and warm with a modern bathroom. It was a little tired though which is why I am not rating too marks.

Unfortunately not. The registrar will cost you about another £300 and the ceremony room will be another £500 or £600.(we managed to get it for 500) Its not that much more expensive than using the local registry office in Hamilton and hiring a coach to the venue for your ghests though and the whole thing is very smooth when you have it all in the same place. Good luck.
