Great Location In Pilsen. Near the town square, lots of good restaurants near by. The owner Jan met us and had a reserved parking spot for us(on the street) . He was cordial and spoke pretty good English. He showed us around the hotel. Gave us great recommendations for local food. Our double room was large and comfy . It really is old European style. Breakfast was very good. We visited the Beer Museum and the underground tour (at the Beer Museum. I highly recommend it.

My first trip abroad post Corona Man I have missed it. Stayed 4 nights here for business. A very orginal and local hotel in the old east european style. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice bar in the romantic courtyard. Walking distance to most of the "must see" in Plzen.

Hotel Rous feels somewhat dated, but it’s got character (in a good way). For example, our room felt like it had been renovated (walls, carpeting and lighting), but the bathroom seemed to have missed out (with a large tub, and handheld shower head). Overall, though, the place is not bad. It’s centrally located, with lots of restaurants nearby. The price was more than reasonable, and an OK breakfast was included in the rate. I’d stay here again if I ever returned to Pilsen.

This small hotel is situated right in the heart of Plzen. Just a few steps from the Square of the Republic and the cathedral of St Bartholomew. Most museums lie within a walking distance, 2 to 5 minutes. As well, the theatre and the grand synagogue are in the same area. The hotel is very, very clean and tidy. During my stay in January, the room was pleasantly warm. The only tiny minus was that there was no proper place for the suitcase. The closet is rather small, as well. My room was in the top floor, and there were 12 steps from the lift. Nice breakfast, but the warm dishes were available only on demand, do not hesitate to ask. The staff is very kind and helpful. You really feel that you are an honoured guest. I honestly recommend this hotel!

Very comfortable bed, clean rooms, and various and tasty breakfast! Only bad thing is that the tram line goes in front of the hotel, so its a bit noisy during the day. Staff people very friendly and helpfull.

The staff were very helpful, friendly, and professional. Receptionists speak English as well. I stayed 3 nights in a room facing the rear courtyard (and the public garden), which was quiet. They have a bar serving alcohol and non-alcohol beverages in the wooden-decked rear courtyard, from which you can see a large wall painting on the hotel building. They also have a cafe on the street level. In the room, a mini-bar is available with bottled Pilsner Urquell (beer), coke, white/red Czech wine, and still/sparkling water. No tea/coffee facility inside of the room. A lift is available, but I preferred hiking up and down to my room, as I wanted to enjoy the charming decorations around. Lovely 18-19 centuries buildings everywhere in the old town centre, with a lot of beer gardens, and frequent trams going. Around the theatres (a few minutes walk from the hotel), there were more restaurants and cafes. You will never run out of choices for dining out or drinking. Some bistro/cafe/restaurants only take cash. There were some cash machines within/around the old town. Many of taxis seem to have a credit card machine with them. I did not have any problem with paying by credit card (mastercard) for taxi ride during the stay in Pilsen/Plzen. From Prague international airport, you can get a taxi with Uber. I took an Uber taxi from Prague airport to Hotel Rous in Plzen, for approximately 48GBP (1385 CZK). But from Hotel Rous in Plzen to Prague airport with non-Uber taxi, it was 68GBP (2000 CZK).

Stayed one night and was welcomed in a very friendly and supportive way. Old building with plenty of charm and all rooms brand new as well as bathrooms . Breakfast was great and a wonderful terrace on the back with old stone walls and facing a wonderful park ! Also right around the corner from Urquell breweries as well as the main square

Before we arrived we had to alter our reservation and the booking.company showed a cost for this. But one email, answered within hours had it all sorted at no charge. This is the style of this hotel. For 2000CKr (about 80 EUR) they organised a car to meet one of our party at Prague Airport and bring her to Pilsen. Again, great service from this type of hotel. Location excellent, room really clean but no air-conditioning. It was not hot over our weekend but we enjoyed the pedestal fan. The hotel has an interesting and warm feel to it. The highlight was breakfast out on the old city walls overlooking a small park. The breakfast was great - coffees made to order from an expresso machine and ham and eggs cooked to order too. Spectacular spot. Do stay here. Good value.

We arrived during the heat wave and were horrified to find out the hotel does not have an A/C. Little we knew we were put in the attic room with roof windows. We asked if they had a different room, but was told no. My partner is 6''1' and could not walk around the whole room due to the very low eaves. The lift takes you to the 3rd floor only and then we had to still climb two sets of quite steep stairs into our room. As I am pregnant and in a need of some comfort I did not enjoy this hotel experience at all. Not to even mention little things like missing wooden rails on the banister (in our room as well as in other floors of the hotel). The screws sticking out of the metal cut my hand on the first day. Other little things like no lock inside the bathroom, but placed on the outside of the bathroom left me puzzled. And have I even mentioned there was no shower? Only a small (and very narrow) bath where you could not stand. My partner (6''1') had a great difficulty there! I stay in Pilsen regularly but I am sorry to say I won't be coming back.
