We chose Hunger Wall Residence mainly because of the in unit washing machine and its amazing reviews, but we fell in love with it because it is so comfortable and homey. We stayed in apartment 11 and found it to be perfectly clean and lovely. The bed was comfortable and our room was quiet allowing for very restful sleep. The...

7 stops away from the Prague main train station, take Tram 9 towards Sídliště Řepy and your dropping point would be Ujezd. Once you're there (10 minutes in tram) you'll walk to Plaska st. which is only minute away or less. The location is central, it's a walking distance from the old city and if you were too lazy just...

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in two lovely apartments, along with another couple and the four of us are convinced we could not have found better more convenient accommodation -it was comfortable, nicely situated, clean and with friendly management and staff. We would not hesitate to recommend the establishment to others. One suggestion to slightly improve matters,...

This property has been renovated to a high standard. It is on a quiet street but still close enough to the main attractions. It is a nice 5 to 10 min walk to Charles Bridge and the no 22 tram will take you to all you need to see. The apartments are located above a delightful coffee shop which is...

Last stop in Europe was Prague to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. Booked an apartment at Hunger Wall Residence based on location and other travelers' reviews. Found previous reviews to be spot on. Loved the apartment, very comfortable with all mod cons. Only place in 6 weeks of travel to offer a washing machine. Location was great - walking distance...

We spent 5 nights @ the Hunger Wall Residence. The apartments are spacious, with in room washer/dryer, well appointed with daily maid service. We ate breakfast daily in the cafe downstairs, it is wise to make reservations the evening before. There are a lot of restaurants nearby as well. The hotel is within walking distance of all the major tourist...

Excellent location. Almost all major tourist sites were within walking distance. Feeling lazy one day, we took the on/off bus; and that stop was just around the corner from the residence. Many restaurants close by...we had breakfast 3 out of 4 mornings in the cafe lounge. Nice little terrace attached to lounge for warmer days. Our superior suite was tastefully...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
