Based in a very old building in Charles square. walking distance from most of prague's main tourist destinations. There is no restaurant in this hostel, it is just bedrooms with a small communal kitchen if you want to cook for yourself. Our beds were comfortable but the bed clothes and pillows smelled very stale and musky. There is a cafe...

Stayed here for 4 nights and the only positive thing was the hostels location. Our beds were alright too. Besides from this we did not enjoy our stay very much. The shared bathroom was not cleaned, no reception and no information about how or where to check in or out, or how to get in the building after the stores...

It was the worst experience of my life , there was no reception and no receipt , On entry to the room there was a single mattress covered in stains, the floor was covered in stains and dog and human hair, there were coffee stains, dead insects and dust on the bed side tables, and worst of all, there was...

Wasn't very impressed with Charles Square Hostel at all. There is no reception service and we were left waiting neer half an hour for anyone to come to let us into the building. After we finally get in our records were written out on a piece of paper, no computer system or anything. Same applied for when I had to...

Well.....not sure what happened with our original booking but we weren't supposed to be in this place but for whatever reason it happened. When we first got there we couldn't get in because there is no buzzer or details to enter, so after finding a phone booth and several euros later we organised to get in. The manager was nice...

I came with my family to visit Prague. We planed to stay at the Charles Square hostel for two nights, but we had to leave after one night. It was not possible to stay there longer. The hostel is in the old hospital and smells with disinfectans. The rooms look great in the photos, but in fact they are unbearable....

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
