Pros: The capsule room was very nice - it has more privacy than a typical hostel room. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom. The location of the Speel & Go is also very attractive. I am also pleased with the price, which is very attractive considering the conditions presented. Cons: Lockers for private things are a bit small. Also, you can hear everything due to the material used to build the capsules. Maybe somebody would not agree, but I think it was pretty cold in this room. Maybe it should be heated better in January.
I have stayed in this hostel for 3 nights and it was very nice. I must say this isn't for everyone. I booked a single room with shared bathroom so I can't write any comment about shared dorms or capsulas. I think Sleep and Go does what its name says, it gives you a place to sleep and then you go to explore Prague. The hostel is very central, just 5 minutes by foot from Muzeum subway station and just a couple of stops to the city center (direct line). It is very close to Wanceslas square which is full of shops, clubs, mini markets, food chains and so on. This is okay if you don't mind about comfort. If you are looking for comfort or luxury, just search somewhere else because this is, in the end, an hostel. The room was clean. It was small, it had just a bed, a window you couldn't even open since it was up high, and a place to store your safe. People who are looking for comfort and for a nice to look at hotel room, should book an hotel room and not a single room in a hostel. The hostel also has a kitchen (which I didn't use) and sauna. The people at the reception are lovely. Those who are not receptionists don't speak English very well, which may be tricky if you need something when there is none at the reception (it opens at midday, so you basically can't count on anyone for the whole morning). Weird thing, none asked me for my passport at check-in or check-out. In short: YES FOR: backpackers, people who prefer to save some money but still stay in a central, safe location. The area is very safe but I thought the whole city is. NO FOR: people looking for very nice accomodation (comfort or luxury). I am not sure if accept families, I have never seen anyone with kids, but I am not sure it'd be the best place for people travelling with minors.…
We stayed in a capsule to try a different experience. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean, the staff was helpful and friendly and the facilities were cozy and smelled nice. Great center location for an amazing price. The kitchen seemed all equipped but we didn't use it. Lack of privacy. We didn't mind the shared bathroom. However we didn't have any personal space to dress and it is not comfortable to dress inside of the shower itself. The suitcase room was also inside of the bathroom. It means that you need to go through the bathroom in order to reach it. Not really pleasant. The capsule was a bit dusty around the structure. Have the lockers inside of the sleeping place is also not a great idea because it makes a large bang when people use it. They could be placed a bit further from the beds. …
A group of 4 stayed here for 3 nights. We booked a dorm to ourselves. Room was massive with our own toilet and shower and the room was very secure. Best value for money and super staff on reception! The hostel was very quiet had a lively sauna which you get discount in and was very close to all attractions in Prague. Numerous little bars within minutes walk. Check in was easy and staff very smiley and helpful.
Really lovely place Walking into the hostel, it was so lovely. So much nicer than expected. Code to enter so very secure. I wasn’t sure how the set up would be with my own shower in the room but shared bathroom but it worked well. Clean premises. The street was noisy but with the window shut, it wasn’t too bad. The bed was comfortable. Heater in the room. Towels an extra cost. Staff were lovely. Location was good too as there were Xmas markets in about a 20 second walk down the road.
Stayed in a single private room in the hostel. Room had a bath attached to it and the toilet located just outside the room. Staff was friendly and helpful with printing of my tickets. It can be really noisy if you are facing the street especially on a weekend as I could hear people talking all night up till 6am.
Set up as a hostel, we actually hired a private room. A quad with private ensuite. Room was a great set up with bathroom attached to the room and toilet in the rooms foyer (still part of the room). Excellent wifi. Staff friendly and helpful. Communual kitchen. Everything was spotless. Located about a 10 minute walk to Pragues main train station and even closer to the metro. Plenty of eateries, supermarkets etc close by
Really clean, with modern forniture, all the services available and a very sweet staff. They give you lots of advices about the city and they even helped me a lot when my friend was sick giving me advices and being there everytime i needed them. I've never been in a hostel before Sleep&Go and i hadn't big expectations but i must say i really felt confortable, even with shared spaces and services. I really recommend this place.
Good cost-benefits, comfortable bed on capsules room, clean linen, kind staff. Nobody explained us how to turn on the air conditionating. Our bed wasn´t done on check-in time. No way to hang our clothes in shower place, just outside.
