We booked room with french windows and wifi. But the room we got was facing the street. All the travellers passing by the street were standing and staring at the room so we couldn't open the windows and covered curtains. What is the use of the french windows without a good view. We requested the reception to give us some...

I spent eight nights on the Florentina, when it was working as a cruise ship, but I spent three of those nights in its Prague birth. So some details of this review are common to it both as a hotel and as cruise ship. First word of caution: if you are berthed in Prague and your cabin is on the...

I got the twin room though I travelled solo as the single room was not available at the time I booked. The concept of staying on a boat was alluring to me and I also wanted to stay close to the main attraction. This is right on the Vlatava river and is so close the charles bridge , old town...

Of course being on a river boat you can expect the rooms to be very small with an exceptionally small bathroom, but adequate. One our travelers felt the bed was too firm, it was certainly firm. Breakfast was adequate and did offer some hot items. The general condition of the hotel is in need of some refurbishing. The location was...

We decided to try a river boat room. Very pleased. The location was great. Once we parked our car in the secure garage right down the street, we were able to walk every where. if you are looking for a large room don't bother. It was a small room with two single beds. But we knew that so I'm not...

Great location, enough confort and a different expecience. The only downside is that the rooms are small and are all twin rooms (no double bed). Other than that everything worked out fine (the heating, wi-fi, warm water in the shower, good breakfast). In summary a different and nice way of staying in the city center, with a great view (if...

I stayed there for 2 nights before leaving to Brno and it was amazing. There is no noise, rooms are comfortable, though bathrooms are a bit small, but this is understandable. The overall hotel is very clean. Breakfast is nice in a buffet looking at the Vltava river waters.

The location of the Florentina boat makes it a perfect place to visit all of Prague on foot. It's just a few minutes to Charles Bridge, Old Square and across the river to the Castle District. We had a river view which meant we could see Hdracany Castle which was very pretty lit up at night and covered in snow...

I decided in late August that I wanted to come to Prague for the New Year. Not surprisingly most hotels were fully booked and I found the Florentina quite by accident (I had wanted to stay around Old Town Square). The reviews were excellent and the price competitive and I received helpful responses to my enquiries. I booked an Executive...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
