I recently stayed at this hotel with my 3 daughters on a 4 night stay in Prague as a birthday present. We booked everything online, and I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised at the hotel. We had booked 2 double rooms, however we were given a family room which was big and on the ground floor. The...

We stayed for 3 nights in Nov 2011 and were looked after very well. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was an added bonus. The trams stop near enough outside(no.24 for city centre) or you can walk into the city centre in about 20mins. Great value for money and we would stay again without question.

Stayed here for two days in November 2011. Very cheap, I've paid three times as much for the same kind of room and service in other hotels. The girls at the reception spoke English well, and were helpful when I had extra wishes. The breakfast was as good as everywhere. A nice room, good bed. The trams right in front...

Stayed at the Hotel Otokar September 2011. On the plus side-clean rooms with the option of having it cleaned daily if requested. Also comfortable beds, extremely helpful staff, free Wi-Fi and tram stop right outside hotel (very handy). Good quality breakfast. On the negative side very smoky reception area (this was the designated smoking area however)-this was really off-putting but...

This was the cheapest place we saw online and it had decent reviews so we went there. I would avoid it if at all possible in the future and pay more for something better. It was super noisy, staff was not really helpful, our room was nonsmoking but there was smoke everywhere. People smoked in the lobby and they would...

The Hotel Merlin (or Hotel Otakar) is a lovely hotel located a fair distance from the Old Town centre of Prague. Although there are good tram links to the hotel, unless you know where you're going, it can be a bit hard to find. Once you are there the hotel itself is wonderful with good rooms and offers guests a...

The Merlin Hotel is a fair deal for budget travellers. I stood there at EUR 30 per night, breakfast included. The room was tiny but clean, not the best sleep I ever had but fair enough for a two nights stay. They could invest in new matresses as the one in my bed was worn. The hallways are nicely decorated....

This Pension offers great value and location . Within walking distance of all major sites plus if walking is not your ideal, local tram transit is just around the corner. Front desk staff eager to help with directions, shopping and dining suggestions. Room was functional, spacious, quiet and clean. Elevator available. Internet available. Downside is the poor quality of the...
