We just spent a weekend in Prague in this beautiful hotel. We are a family of four (a couple with kids 10 and 12 years old) and very much enjoyed the family room which is two rooms with a shared bathroom and a small hall. The hotel furnishing is of a five star quality with big sized rooms, very comfortable mattress, air conditioning in each room with a separate remote. The hotel itself is a small castle with a romantic courtyard, playful garden with terraces, flourishing flower beds, water falls and even a small lookout tower. My kids happily enjoyed the pool, the bowling alley, and the minigolf. Prague is a great place to go right now. I have lived here for a couple of years but could never really enjoy its beauty due to the masses of tourists. It was a rare and terrific experience to walk over the Charles Bridge or to climb up the Prague castle without regiments of loud tourists. Prague is very a romantic city and now it's the time to really see it. The hotel is a bit off the beat of the main route. However the hotel owner is aware of it and provides free (!) shuttle to the hotel guests to any place in the city.

Really great hotel, stayed a week and consistently helpful and friendly service every single day from the front desk. The shuttle service is excellent, taking us to the nearest tram stop or nearby restaurants and even the amazing Prague zoo. Always service with a smile and adds to what is already a superb hotel - comfortable, clean and really well run. Kids loved the pool, mini golf and the bowling. All good. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the hotel for one week. As there were only few guests because of the pandemic situation it was very quiet. We loved the place and we will come back one day for family travel. The breakfast was very good. Everything was cleaned very good. The owner and his staff are all very friendly.

A lovely quiet location, reception staff and Konrad provide service like it should be. They have a great knowledge of the city and are more than happy to make sure you know exactly where you are going. Tram tickets are available (and cheap) at the desk. Buy tram tickets for your return as well. Better still - if you know you will be there for a few days, buy a 3/4 day pass.Dont forget to stamp tickets in Machines. The staff will then use their minibus to take you the two minute drive to Trojska tram stop. Call the hotel on your way back and they will pick you up as well!!. the Tram stops very close to the Charles Bridge. The pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna were great We had the pool to ourselves most of the time very nice to come back to and chill out after a long day. The restaurant is a nice place to eat with a limited but good menu but there are lots of places in the Town as well.Breakfast is an extremely good buffet, with bacon, scrambled egg,Sausages, and toast. and many cheeses, meats, fruit and breads. The bar is well stocked and the tarrif is not the usual Hotel rip-off prices. The room.Tea and coffee making things are included and a mini fridge. There is a safe, TV,The beds are firm but Comfortable the Quilts and pillow covers are as soft as silk(my wife said)very nice.We Drove there from our home in Berlin you can park your car at the front of the Hotel. It cost us €95 per night for 2 Adults and one 13yr old Child. Could not find any fault with our stay, all the staff were very pleasant and obliging, we would certainly recommend The Castle Residence.

Somewhat difficult to review. Most if not all amenities of a four star hotel are present, yet the ambiance misses the luxury feel. The decor is more like austere than sumptuous. Having said that, there is a good, functional indoor pool and sauna, the rooms are comfortable and large, the setting is lovely and the premises, being a small nineteenth century palace aka former winery, are quite atmospheric.
It is well situated, somewhat outside the touristy area of the town, but hotel shuttle and metro (tickets at the reception) will take you into the very centre within 15 minutes.
Despite being in town, which obviously makes traffic noise a bit of an issue, the hotel has thick walls and good isolation so there is virtually no sound inside.
The restaurant is affordable and serves good quality food. Once again, nothing super-culinary, but nice enough. Very good beer and quite acceptable (Czech) wines.

The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.
Price/quality ratio is more than excellent.
If you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable and affordable stay in Prague, look no further.

We choose that hotel because it lays a little to the north of Praha, closer to the Airport - we didn't want to go into Praha for just one night.
However on our way to the hotel we were not always sure if we were on the correct road - if road is not too much. However when we arrived, we found a good parking (for free!) and a well maintained building.
After our uncomplicated reception, we were brought to our rooms ... the way there was split. In some parts it was very nice, beautifully decorated with inlays in the floor and in the next you stood in a empty, cold aisle with stains and marks on the walls.
The room was spacious the bed was good and the bathroom wonderful - however the layout and design of the room at more than a hint of minimalistic design. Still, there was a mini-bar and a desk with free WLAN.

After a very quiet night we got a delicious breakfast which was wonderfully laid out (at the cheese platter I even I second thoughts about taking one of the slices because they were so well arranged).
The juice was good but the coffee / tea was average from a very simple automate...

I can see why some people would give it an excellent but actually for my taste there were just a hint too many stains and the surround, yeah, I wouldn't take a walk around the hotel unless I stayed in the nice gardens.

The complementary shuttle to downtown Praha is very kind and we were tempted for a short moment but then decided otherwise and go to the Restaurant in the Hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 9 weeks and 1 day. The manager, Konrad, was excellent and responded immediately to all requests. The hotel is in a quieter part, just outside Prague. The area is known as the 'garden' area and this is lovely if one wants to go into and out of the centre (very easy… trams 12 and 24 go into and out of each half of the city). The hotel offers lifts to and from the nearby tram stop and also to local areas of interest like DOX, local restaurants, or the National Gallery. (free). The rooms are well equipped and the service standards excellent. There are a few amenities, like a small swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, but Prague is probably too lovely to spend too much time indoors. The hotel has a restaurant (outside catering) which is good. I found all the staff helpful, friendly, professional and caring. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who does not want to be smack bang in a tourist area but who would like to see more of Prague itself. I did use the 'garden area'. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the sun. I shall definitely be going back…. x

Stayed 3 nights over summer. Location is cooler away from centre of city. Lovely old house, has been around as restaurant for a long time in past, now sensitively restored. Parking convenient, and pleasant gardens for eating outside. Food is very good, breakfast good choice and excellent value. Rooms were very comfortable, nice bathrooms, clean and good size. Pool and sauna added bonus after sightseeing etc. The shuttle to tram is great, a truly personal service. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tram 15 mins to centre, cheap, frequent, shuttle back immediate if rung ahead.
Strongly recommended, as the cost for this is much less than it would be in most cities, never mind capital cities. Preferable to staying in centre unless partying is the core purpose of trip.

First impressions are always the best and this place didn't disappoint. The rooms are huge and very well presented. They are clean and fairly modern. Don't dump your bags and jump on the beds though. Something will break....and it won't be the bed!
That said, we got a great nights sleep and felt very comforatable in what would better be described as a maisonette instead of a room. Tea and coffee making things are included and a mini fridge. There are no cooking things in the rooms.
The reception staff provide service like it should be. They have a great knowledge of the city and are more than happy to make sure you know exactly where you are going. Tram tickets are available (and cheap) at the desk which you can put on the bill. Tip - buy tram tickets for your return as well. Not all stops have ticket machines. Better still - if you know you will be there for a few days, buy a 3/4 day pass. The staff will then use their minivan to take you the two minute drive to Trojska tram stop. Call the hotel on your way back and they will pick you up as well!!
The pool and sauna were great for our kids (8 and 6) as Prague is not exactly abundant with kids things. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time. It's very warm and looks good with the underwater lighting.
The restaurant is a nice place to eat with a limited but good menu. Even then, the chef will prepare anything (within reason) tha isn't on the menu.
Breakfast is an extremely good buffet, with bacon, scrambled egg and toast for the Brits taste and many cheeses, meats, fruit and breads for the continental dwellers.
The bar is well stocked and the tarrif is not the usual Hotel rip-off prices. Probably less than a UK pub (although I haven't lived in UK for 6 years).
An extra welcome activity is the bars' en-suite 10 pin bowling alley (2 lanes). Again, these were always available and very reasonably priced.
I think there is also minigolf at the back, but this was closed in the cold days of February.
If I could think of something bad about this place, I would tell you, but I can't.......hang on.......nope! Not a thing.

OK, the views are not inspiring and it's not bang in the centre, but for the service, quality and value, you would find it hard to beat the Castle Residence Hotel.

We paid 500€ for 4 nights which included the breakfast. The pool is free to use. We had two evening meals with beer, wine soft drinks. Countless games of bowling and lots of tram tickets.
Total bill was 611€..

I'll throw some pictures on here later - watch this space.

We were surprised by the large size of rooms. The hotel is located in a quiet location with a nice garden and space for parking. There is heated swimming spol, mini golf, sauna, bowling and spa centre upon request. In the restaurant there is a baby court. The restaurant serves good meals and wine. Some parts of the hotel could be renovated. The breakfast was tasty and sufficient. In overall we would return back.
