My husband and I stayed here for two days prior to a Tauck River Cruise. The hotel was busy, but it was never noisy, and our accommodations were nice. Our room overlooked the Vlatava River, and our king bed was extremely comfortable. The facility is extremely clean. Our breakfast was delightful. The dining area has two rooms, and I suggest...

This hotel is in a great location, a short walk to the old town centre whilst passing through some of the up market shopping. The rooms are clean and a reasonable size, the staff are polite and friendly.

Prague is a top destination tourist spot but no hotel is better located than the Intercontinental - along the Vlatava river and most importantly along the beautiful Pariszka street and adjacent to the important Jewish quarter and near the Old Town Square - this stay was also pleasant due to the wonderful front desk staff who made sure that we...

We had 2 nights at the Intercontinental at the end of a fabulous Avalon River Cruise. Being in the Old part of town, the hotel is boringly modern on the outside, but much better inside. It is a bit tired and could do with refurbishment, and a good clean in the bar area, but the rooms are spacious, much bigger...

I stayed here for 3 nights in March. The rooms are a little dated but I feel this adds character! Great bed and pillows, even a shoe shine service. The bar is pleasant but there are cheaper ones in the local area. What made this hotel was the breakfast and the on site pool and saunas. The pool is slightly...

When we checked in 1 of our rooms wasn't ready, we were offered a complimentary bottle of wine. Stayed there with family for 9 nights. I was working the first 6 days, location of the hotel was great for the family to tour the city. Very close to the river, close to Old Town square and many other attractions. The...

We were going on a river cruise of the Danube and had three days in Prague. Our stay at the InterContinental was part of the package. We were told we would have a regular room, but our room must have been an upgrade because it was really special, especially the bathroom! Seating area with sofa and chair, desk, King bed...

This hotel was well maintained, clean, offered a nice breakfast, and was centrally located in the city. I was here for a corporate event that I held. Service was fantastic, their meeting space was beautiful and well light. The location was right on the river which allowed you to head into the city for dinner easily and to go check...

This hotel was included as part of an Avalon cruise package. The hotel was nice and the beds were comfortable enough. From the outside, it is not much to look at but the location is very good, a short walk to the Old Town square. However, the outdoor rooftop lounge/dining area is fabulous. The views of the city as the...

We spent 10 days here in July and have no complaints. We chose the Intercontinental because my girlfriend's conference was just downstairs. Old Town, the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle etc. are a short walk away. Many excellent restaurants just around the corner. Rooms are spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet cannot be beat - it includes fresh honey...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
