It is right on the main attractions. Everything seems to be in a walking distance. The palace, it's right on the river, 5 mins walk from Old Town square, steps away from Parizka - the expensive shopping district of Praha, the Charles bridge. Bfast was good. Service was not upto the mark. Carpet in the room needs change/ clean-up. Complimentary...

Lovely hotel! Attentive staff and it couldn't be located in a more perfect location in the city. Large rooms and well appointed bath. Our room was very quite and the bed was heavenly! We will most certainly stay here when we return to Prague.

I'm a hotel snob and especially in Europe you expect less than the rating. The intercontinental was wonderful, great staff, incredibly comfortable bed, quiet room, AMAZING central location, and the hotel bar/restaurant was great. Great local places to eat around. All and all I would highly recommend.

I called the hotel in advance of my arrival and was met with an unpleasant, borderline rude reception staff. I did not want my experience of Prague to be tainted by staff with no manners or notion of customer service, so I cancelled my stay before even checking in. Pity.

Prague is a small city, however this hotel is ideally located to all the main attractions within walking distance. Rooms are comfortable (although no slippers!). Room service is prompt and with a smile. Breakfast is grand and well stocked (although they do not make the best omelettes), there is something for everyone. All in all a good place to stay...

We visit Prague regularly and always stay in the Intercontinental. The location is excellent, opposite Josefov and a short stroll up Parizska ( the premier shopping street) to the Old Town. The nearby tram 17 takes a scenic route along the river. There is a good supermarket a short walk away and plenty of nearby restaurants. We booked two rooms...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
