Stayed at the Maximillian for one night on business - had everything I needed, very accommodating staff and one of the more comfortable places I've stayed. Centrally situated so convenient for personal time of an evening. Will hope to get the same good rate here next time I'm in Prague

I have never stayed in a small hotel that offered such a wide variety of amenities and personal service. I loved the fact that there was a library and a drawing room in place of a lobby. I loved my small room with its small refrigerator and huge robe and slippers. I loved the bathroom for its shelves to put...

Wonderful plush hotel in the heart of Old Town Prague (2-3 min walk from main square). Most everything is within 5-10 minutes walk. The beds and pillows were perfect; best we have found anywhere. The included breakfast is awesome. This place is a TOP value! Staff is super helpful and very friendly, plus they all speak fluent English.

Staying here made our trip to Prague all the more special. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. All the little extras such as robes and slippers, endless supply of toiletries and plug adapter all made the stay stress free and more enjoyable. We received a little pastry on arrival which was lovely. We also took advantage of having...

The staff was extremely helpful with helping us get oriented with the city and recommending restaurants for dinner. We opted for the run through Prague with a guide which was terrific. This is...

Very clean, comfortable, remarkably quiet, with a great breakfast. Walking distance to just about every one of the "Top Ten" things to see and do in Prague. English spoken by all staff. Hotel car available for transport to the airport (for a fee).

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

“Take the subway from the main train station to the nearest stop (1 stop on A line to C, get off on 2nd or 3rd stop - either works); short walk doable with backpack and a wheeled carry-on. If loaded down with larger suitcase, opt for the transfer through the hotel (call if you are unable to select when booking the room). The random taxi (short ride) from the train station is a rip off at 29 Euro ( $40 USD if you convert to CZK). We got burned on that when we arrived.”
