It has been one of my most pleasant stay in a hotel. Recently renovated, the Maximilian offers great value for the price. Helpful staff, great breakfast with wide choice of items à la carte or on the buffet, special attentions like wine and cheese tasting, the staff goes the extra mile.Very well located near the Old Town square and Charles...

Dear Louise B, What a nice review, thank you so much for taking the time to write about us. We are also very proud of our buffet and a la carte menu which offers wide variety of international food. And of course, everyday at 4:30 we hold an event in our drawing room. It's nice to know that you enjoyed...

We would absolutely like to recommend this hotel. Very friendly staff, always happy to help. Great location, walking distance to many sites (Old Town Square, Municipal House, Charles Bridge+++) and good restaurants. Clean room, with a big, comfortable bed. If you are planning to use the spa, especially on the weekends we would recommend to book in advance. Best hotel...

Dear Maud J, What a wonderful review, thank you so much. The restaurant team is ecstatic to hear that it was the best breakfast you have ever had in Europe. That is truly a great honour. And yes, Planet Zen spa is a well known massage spa and very popular, so I would also advice to book in advance -...

Service location and room are the most important things for me when I choose the hotel. The first impression about the hotel was good from pictures. When I arrived there everything was great I stayed for three nights and first day I arrived earlier than check in time but they welcomed me and give me the key so quickly, after...

Dear Sulaiman F, Thank for writing your honest and detailed review! I couldn't agree more with you that serivce, location and the room are the most important things about a hotel. Our service aims to be the best in Prague, if not globally as we aim to be friends with our guests and not employees interacting with customers. Our location...

Dear Nettienan, Thank you for your lovely review. We at Hotel Maximilian wanted to make sure that you would have a 20th wedding anniversary that you would never forget. So it's wonderful to know that this was the case. We understand that guests do not choose which time they arrive but are instead at the mercy of airliners. It is...

I was so impressed with the staff and facility of this hotel. It was, by far, the best hotel we stayed at during our entire 30 day trip to Europe. Maximilian is superior to all others; great location; great staff who were totally concerned that our stay was perfect!!! The proseco, cake, coffee, and tea was a wonderful addition to...

We stayed here for 6 nights (Jan 1 – Jan 7) and were happy with our choice. In short, friendly staff and hotel is very well located in a small street with tons of restaurants nearby and 7 min walk to Old Town Square. Believe me, you don’t want to stay right in the Old Town Square. Hands-down to the...

Lovely hotel in a great location! Just minutes from all the local hotspots. The beds are huge and really comfy. The only slightly negative point was the breakfast... the buffet items were ok but wasn't a massive fan of the items on the menu. Other than that, perfect hotel!

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
