N intimate ambiance and excellent service. Occupying a historic medieval building, the charming Charles Hotel has been beautifully restored whilst retaining many of its original features. The Charles Hotel is situated close to The Charles Bridge. Surrounded by good selection of bars and restaurants, this intimate property enjoys a romantic ambiance. Located in the charming historical district of Prague Mala Strana (also called Prague Lesser Town or Little Quarter of Prague) and close to the famous Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, romantic Kampa, Petrin parks and just across the bridge to the rest of Old Town. The Hotel Charles is part of the Royal Road, which starts in Nuremberg (Germany) and leads all the way to Prague Castle through the Powder Tower, Wenceslas Square and across Charles Bridge. All 31 rooms of our hotel are air conditioned. 25 Rooms and 6 suites are reflecting the building's rich heritage and providing our guests with comfortable accommodation, an exceptional service and modern amenities. Baroque-style rooms include satellite television, minibar, in-room safe and hairdryer. Breakfast room and lobby bar are necessary to make you feel special. This hotel is ideally located steps away from the Charles Bridge. The room on the fourth floor was spacious and comfortable enough. Also, it had all amenities you may need while staying. Free wi-fi throughout the hotel. Would certainly recommend.

This hotel is very traditional in its interior, which may not be to everyone's taste, however would definitely say it has so many positives. Its lovely and clean. The breakfast is well catered for and very delicious, despite some negative comments on trip advisor. Not justified from our perspective. Staff are so very pleasant especially the gentleman night porter & Katarina, receptionist. The location is perfect, just on the Charles bridge and a 3 minute walk away. Please try this hotel is lovely.

From the moment we arrived til the driver took us to the train station, our visit to the Charles Hotel was just wonderful. Kristina greeted us with "we have a lovely upgraded room for you" and she was so very helpful with everything. We had one rainy day and she loaned us an umbrella, she gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, and the accommodations were incredibly comfortable. The king size bed with two individual duvets made sleeping a dream, and the hotel was very quiet. The location, steps from the Charles Bridge, made it easy to get everywhere we needed to go.

The Hotel is small, with only about 30 rooms. Ths means its quiet, initmate and the service is more indidual than you might find in a bigger hotel. It is very well placed for exploring both sides of the river in Prague. Its perfect if you are interested in exploring, as they provide a great buffet breakfast, bread, rolls, pastries, cooked breakfast, fruits, cereals and yogurts. There is no restauraunt, or bar, but as there are so many bars cafes and restauraunts in Prague, this doesnt really matter, as if you are exploring, going out for dinner is part of the experince. The beds are great, and the rooms are luxuriously decorated. Tea and coffee making and a mini bar are provided. Kristina on recepton was very helpful and knowledgeable, and super kind, she is a real asset to the hotel. We asked the hotel to organise a taxi to and from the airport, and our driver was great. I recomend using this. I would defintely recomend the hotel if you want a great location for exploring.…

Superb location , hotel well run , clean, very comfortable rooms . Wifi excellent , free in room safe, plenty of hot water and storage in large bathroom with bath and shower. The main selling point for this hotel is the friendly staff esp Kristina on reception. Rooms were cleaned well every day , towels replaced etc. Plenty of tables for breakfast with lots of choice and friendly , well organised staff ready to help. Public transport easy and cheap to assess nearby.

The location of the hotel is excellent-5 minutes walk to the Charles bridge and only 15 minutes walk to Prague castle. There are lots of good restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is only small but our room was very generous in size with a good size ensuite. The ceiling of our room was original and the breakfast room was downstairs. The staff were extremely helpful especially as 1 of our bags did not arrive until about 30 hours after we did.

The location of this boutique hotel was excellent. An easy walk to the beautiful Charles Bridge in a picturesque old city. Breakfast was really an exceptional surprise. Food, choices, and setting were a great way to start the day. Staff was excellent and Johannes, Christina and another individual whose name unfortunately I have forgotten at the front desk were a total treat. Johannes went out of his way to find the six of us transportation to Munich via a private van. He spent hours getting the right person to get us there. Both he and Christina gave us excellent tips regarding places to see and eat. This is an all around well managed, clean hotel, which I would highly recommend to anyone

Good location next to Charles bridge and equidistant from old town square and the Prague castle neighborhood, a bit run down hotel preserving a patina of past splendor, we were housed in one of the 4th floor rooms, accessible from the 3rd floor by a staircase. Our room felt a bit like what it was, a room in the attic but the bathroom was large and had a tub, the bed was big and comfortable and most important, it was quiet at night. The breakfast, served in the downstairs dungeon was splendid, good espresso machine and superb pastries. The staff was helpful. I would stay again if back in Prague, I rather stay in a hotel with character than in a large chain hotel, anytime.

The staff is very kind and helpful. Our room was lovely and huge, especially for historic European hotels. Breakfast was wonderful and the restaurant area is beautiful. Painting on the walls throughout the hotel are beautiful - we were told they were painted by a older Italian man. Location was very convenient to all the old town sites.
