The hotel is very pretty and authentic, fitting the location perfectly. Rooms are finished beautifully. The bathroom is modern and stylish with all facilities one would require for a comfortable stay. Very clean. Friendly staff. Excellent location a short walk from the Charles Bridge surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants (though very peaceful and not at all noisey.) Basic but...

We stayed in Jan 2013 for a short city break. We booked through Laterooms.com and got an excellent price - £45 per night including breakfast. For a city centre hotel so close to the Charles Bridge we felt that was very good value. We were welcomed by the lovely Denise and a warmer welcome we've never had. The room was...

Great location, large comfortable room with charming baroque decor giving it a distinctive feel (compared to all those mass produced hotel clones). All home comforts provided in the room, breakfast was fresh and more than adequate and the staff were friendly, helpful and quirky. It was also good to have a midday check out time instead of the usual 10.00...

Not only is this hotel in the heart of the Old City and near the Charles Bridge, but it is one of the best places I have stayed in the Czech Republic. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the included breakfast was basic, but fresh and available almost all morning long. The room was balanced between old world charm...

The one thing this hotel has going for it is its location. Its absolutely fantastic.... a minute away from the Charles Bridge and in the middle of the Old Town and the Prague Castle. The hotel and its amenities itself were satisfactory. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although we got a street view room which meant noises coming from...

When you enter this hotel, you walk into a small lobby with a relatively small seating area just around the corner from the reception desk. The seating area will take 6 or 7 people and I suppose another 10 if they were standing close together. The point is, that apart from the breakfast room in the cellar (which is off...

I stayed here for a long weekend and the staff were so helpful (with amazing English); they really made my dad and I feel at home. The style of the rooms is a little dated/old fashioned, but this was part of the charm. The bathrooms, however, were very new if a little ill-planned (i.e. the shower faced into the middle...

Stayed here last week for a couple of nights with my 82 year old mother. I'd asked for two single rooms close together. What we got were two large rooms next to each other. Perfect. They were clean , warm and cosy. Although there were tea making facilities in the room, supplies of tea and coffee were in short supply....

After I've checked in and paid I was told that my room had accidentally been given to someone else and the hotel was now fully booked. Instead I was offered a room at their sister hotel The Elite, which was further away from my family and the room was very bad quality - small and smelling of cigarette smoke, which...

Great location, lovely rooms, good well stocked breakfast, all facilities required were provided, friendly and helpful staff. We had a lovely stay. They even gave us a little breakfast stash to take to the airport as Ethan an early flight.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
