We booked a family trip from California to visit our daughter who relocated to Prague. We decided based on the reviews to book our stay at the hotel Julian. We were delighted to find the accommodations greatly above the norm. The hotel itself is very clean, well-kept, elegantly decorated, where exceptionally arranged furnishings, adornments and artwork Creating an atmosphere of relaxation and historic depth. Each member of the staff we encountered was extremely friendly, accommodating of requests, helpful and receptive when we sought Suggestions for local activities and attractions. Also, the morning breakfast was very well prepared and provided many choices of meats, eggs, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, juices and coffee… enough variety to suit any appetite, including delicious pastries and other sundries to satisfy the sweet tooth. You can even take your breakfast up to a quiet and comfortably arranged rooftop terrace that affords excellent views of the castle, cathedral, local architecture and much of the surrounding town. Oh, and a cool bronze statue of I don’t know who that you can sit next to and pour your life story out to. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of a major metro hub. Walking alone or in groups either during the day or at night felt perfectly safe at all times and there was always an individual at the main desk day or night to respond to any need. Finally, room service was absolutely on top of any request, whether it be to stay away for a day or for something special, like an extra pillow or a refill on the coffee packets! This was our first trip to Prague and because of Ivana and Marcella, who greeted us daily and nightly at the main desk when we were coming or going, we would certainly recommend the Hotel Julian to friends and family or to the traveler looking for a centralized, affordable, clean and pleasant spot.…

Had a 4 night stay in this beautiful hotel which was centrally located and walking distance to the castle, cathedral and the Charles bridge and old town, with all the major attractions. A complimentary welcome Prosecco and beer on arrival was a lovely touch and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We took a couple of drinks up to the roof terrace every evening before going out to eat every night, which was lovely. Lots of nice local restaurants, Olympia and Miro tapas were our favourites. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and the coffee machine made the most amazing cappuccinos. Can't fault this charming and welcoming hotel at all, would throughly recommend to anyone visiting Prague.

Hotel Julian was everything we hoped it would be. My wife and I work in New York City and were pretty burned out. We needed some time to get away. We booked the room at the very top and LOVED it! It rained during the night a few times and hearing the soft rain on the roof really recharged my battery. Not sure why it does that, but it does, and it worked. Love how the windows opened up too so we could see across the rooftops and the castle up on the hill. Absolutely beautiful. We also really liked the hotel’s location. We could walk to wherever we needed to go but it’s in a nice quiet section of the city. We felt very safe walking around late at night too. A very special thanks to Marcela who always went out of her way to help us with anything we needed. From the moment we arrived, she made sure we saw the things we wanted to see, made fantastic recommendations on where to eat, and explained how best to get around. She also arranged our car service, made restaurant reservations, and booked a few tours for us. And by the way, we didn’t ask for her to do any of this, she just did it simply because she wanted us to enjoy our stay there. We really appreciated her care and attention to detail. She's special for sure. We took a short trip by train to Vienna and stayed one night at a ‘luxury’ hotel that turned out to be cold and pretentious. It could not even come close to the warm, personal service we received from all the staff at Hotel Julian. We loved our stay and will remember it fondly for years to come. Highly recommended.…

Honestly, I can't provide much more information than the 1800-plus excellent reviews. Great staff, great rooms, excellent buffet breakfast, great location and great public areas, including a rooftop deck. Staff are very helpful and the rooms are all we could ever ask for. The location is a bit off the beaten track but only a 3 minute walk to a tram stop and about a 10 minute walk to a metro station. For example, in under 15 minutes, you could walk to the tram stop, hop aboard 3 out of the 4 trams that stop there and ride 3 short stops where another 3 minute walk puts you on the Charles bridge. We only stayed 3 nights and for us, Prague deserves more. If we go back we'll stay here and spend at least 5 nights in Prague.

Hotel Julian is such a wonderful hotel. During my 4 night stay I was very pleased with how quiet and very clean the hotel is. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful, I’m very glad I stayed at Hotel Julian. The entire staff clearly take such great pride in their little piece of Prague. I would like to thank Marcela for helping me with some confusion I had with my early morning flight. Marcela also arranged a car to take me to the airport and even a bagged breakfast which was very much appreciated. I will certainly stay at Hotel Julian on my next vacation to Prague.

Spent 5 days in Prague living at this hotel. It’s a small cozy hotel with very friendly staff and at least during our stay,- calm and quiet clientele. The breakfast was simple with all the usuals one should expect from a hotel breakfast with a few dishes that change every day. The room was very clean and the beds were excellent. There’s a roof terrace where you can bring your own drinks, or buy from the reception. You see the cathedral in the Prague castle from the roof. The hotel is about 20-25 minutes walk from the old town square and there is a convenience store just down the street. Very well priced for what it delivers!
