We spent 6 nights in this perfectly located, friendly hotel. The room was clean with a beautiful view over the river (room 20). Ideal for all the old town activities but without all the noise and just a 5 minute walk away. Great breakfasts with huge unlimited selection to suit all. However we were disappointed with the evening restaurant and did...

The Archibald was recommended by great friends who frequent the hotel. The best advice we've had! Quiet and peaceful. Easy access to the sites. Great restaurant. The staff is warm and accommdating at every request. The John Lennon Wall and the Charles Bridge are right there with access to everything else you will see or do.

When coming to Prague, even for business, I always try to stay at Archibald: - great location - Mala Strana - more Czech and Prague style than the tourist places - lots of good restaurants - spacious rooms with good beds and good air - much more quiet than downtown - easy to reach by taxi from the airport -...

Chose this hotel because of great reviews on TA and were very happy that we did. The location is perfect as is so close to the Charles Bridge, a short walk from Old Town and it's next to the Vltava River. The rooms are unique and clean ( we had several friends staying so saw their rooms also). I would...

Archibald at the Charles Bridge was a perfect hotel for our two-night whirlwind tour of Prague. Located on the castle side of the Vltava River, it places one in walking distance (ok, a healthy walking distance in some cases) of Prague's main attractions like Prague Castle, the old town, the Jewish quarter, St. Vitus' Cathedral, the "John Lennon wall", public...

The Archibald is a comfortable, clean and cosy hotel. It is right in the heart of the city yet completely quiet; perfectly positioned in a pretty square right by the Charles Bridge. Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
