A double espresso for 6 euro that tastes like weak coffee. We ordered ice cream as well, and had to ask 10 minutes after the drinks were served where it was. The ice cream was delicious but the service and coffee poor. For espresso, starbucks is the place to go

The Hotel is in a great ovation in the old town square opposite the astronomical clock. It is clean and has good character but is definitely not 5 star. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, no shower caps, no bathrobes etc but the main problem with this hotel is that because of it's great location...

Didn't stay here but visited the roof terrace. Blonde girl that greets on entering has the worst attitude ever. Proper rude and miserable. Then pretty much threw menus at us when we sat down. Staff like this are ruining your bar. There was a guy up there shouting across to a waiter about the level of service he got, so...

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Our room needed some tlc, there was water damage to the wall that had mould growing on it. The old style door key was so difficult to use, if there was a fire we would have surely died. AC worked poorly at best and hot water couldn't be counted on in...

My partner took me here for my 30th birthday, it was a surprise. The hotel was in the most perfect location, right in the main square. It was early December so the view from our room window was incredible. The huge Christmas tree, all the market stalls and the astronomical clock right there. The hotel staff were amazing, really friendly...

We wanted a quaint local feel hotel, and we got it. We didn't anticipate the complete mob scene that is the old square of area Prague. Like the every school group and tour group in europe chose the same time we did to come here. The hotel right in the middle of the historic old town square does an admirable...

We were no staying at the Hotel U Prince, just using the bar. A few drinks and some appetizers on the plaza while visiting the Old Town Square. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the Pilsner Urquell and Staropramen. The service was fast, the waiters spoke English well, and they all seemed to have a very good sense...

We sat down at the outdoor restaurant of the hotel for a quick coffee. 20min for coffee! They delivered the wrong coffee and it was very weak. I would recommend another place if you are going for a quick coffee.

A user friendly hotel in all ways except the discourteous waiters and poorly prepared overpriced food at the rooftop terrace restaurant. This hotel is classic Euope, helpful staff and perfect location. Enjoy the breakfast , request a room with a window for fresh air and depart with an urge to Linger a while.

The attitude from some of the male waiters in the restaurant towards female guests was a concern. This is the only criticism of an otherwise very good hotel which is in a very good location - although noisy - you will need ear plugs and to close the bedroom window.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
