This property is located just 6 tram stops and a 5 minute walk from The Olr Town Square. The area is a lot quieter than in and around the square but still has bars, cafes and takeaways within walking distance. The rooms were clean, with cleaners coming in each day. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but for showering and brushing your teeth how much room do you need. For those wishing to avoid the late night noises of a very busy city centre this is an ideal choice, and less than 30 minutes from the airport via taxi/uber/bolt.

After reading some of the reviews, we were a bit worried about this hotel. However, after staying there, we were very relieved to find that some of them are obviously fake (there are no bugs, mould or spiders. free breakfast has never been on offer either, so the couple complaining that they didn't get it are scamming) It's a traditional, early 1900s building, very comfortable accommodation, our room slept 3, with plenty of space. Staff were lovely, very pleasant, friendly attitude and helpful with all our queries. The attached, independently run restaurant has erratic opening hours but well worth a visit, the food is gorgeous! The only criticism I have is that there was no tea/coffee making facilties in the rooms, it's in the foyer.

Booked because this was meant to be a 4 star hotel, if that's what your expecting then you will be disappointed. The staff where lovely, the building itself, even being a little dated, is nice enough. We were given our room and on initial look it looked fine. We where in room 202. Unfortunately the mattresses were almost non existent, they where that worn it was like sleeping on the bed slats. The shower is a nightmare, I'm not large and I struggle to not hit the shower handle which either scalded you or froze you. Even jist trying to wash your hair. The shower door did not close properly so you ended up flooding the bathroom. On the night the silverfish come out to say hi! Especially in the loo. There was stains over the carpet and rubbish left in the bathroom. Basically, if the mattresses were semi decent I wouldn't mind so much. We only used the hotel to sleep and even that was poor. It's a shame as it did win an award back in 2014. Give your hotel some love as it has so much potential. Clean the rooms near the window /bed there's loads of what looks like sawdust against the wall. I didn't make a complaint as we had already been moved once as initially we where given a twin room which we had asked for a double.

Hotel said we weren't booked until the following day - got sorted finally. Safe and air con not working. Building work outside hotel. Paid for breakfast but not provided - we went to Lidl for coffee and a sandwich. The restaurant/bar is a separate business (according to hotel staff) I would not recommend this hotel.

Union hotel is a place I would recommend. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff on reception always polite and helpful. Close to tram stop that gets you to the centre of Prague. Opposite old city wall, a bit of a climb but a lovely panoramic view of the city. Also look out for the woodpecker and red squirrels The Square in front of Hotel is being renovated so a bit of building work going but didn’t affect our stay.

Awful experience. Hotel refusing to provide compensation as me and partner had to move hotels due to BUGS and MOLD within hotel room. Shocking hotel. Would rather sleep outside which would beore hygienic than this place. Provided pictures and apparently that isn't enough proof hahaha shocking

First of all, upon entering the room, I was surprised to find a large number of spiders and cobwebs in various corners. This created an uncomfortable and unsanitary environment, raised concerns about the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. Also, the room service was lousy. The staff seemed indifferent and unresponsive to our requests. Simple amenities like clean towels and toiletries were either not provided or delivered after lengthy delays. Adding to the discomfort, the air conditioning in the room did not work well. Despite immediately reporting the problem to reception, no steps were taken to fix the problem for the entirety of our stay. Lastly, the condition of the towels provided was unacceptable. They seemed stained and dirty, which is unacceptable for a hotel of its reputation. Fresh clean linens are a fundamental expectation for any guest, and it is disheartening to have encountered such neglect. As a paying guest, I think it's reasonable to expect a certain level of cleanliness, attentive service, and functional amenities during my stay. Unfortunately these expectations were not met during our visit to your hotel.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The only nice thing about the hotel was the pleasant and helpful day time receptionist. The air condition was blowing hot air, no running water for over 8 hours and the cleaners had a bad attitude. They charge for breakfast and give you cold snacks in a bag. Towels were small and old and all the bedding need upgrading.

Adequate but not the claimed 4 star. Air con faulty on very warm weekend. We had to put a towel on floor to catch dripping water or not have it on at all. Told receptionist, was told it would be looked at, it never was. Waited until third day for fresh towels and room clean then they turned up at 4:40pm when we showering and preparing to go out for evening meal. My booking ( and Google) said 12pm checkout but receptionist said 11am despite me telling her this. Don't stay here in next couple of weeks as there is work going on right outside entrance making it awkward to access. Also very noisy if you are in that part of the hotel. Luckily we were on the back, very peaceful.
