Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
We have just returned from hotel Pod Vezi and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. ALL the staff, without exception, that we encountered were kind, helpful, courteous-couldn’t do anymore for us.
The hotel is a beautiful old building central to explore Prague. Our room was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean and serviced daily. There were nice touches such as chocolates, small bottle of Prosecco etc that appeared in our room as a surprise.
We stayed bed and breakfast, breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety.
The excellent customer service continued even when we returned home and emailed the hotel querying an issue we had with transport when travelling back to the airport-absolutely nothing to do with the hotel but they were happy to help.
Our experience at Pod Vezi was a strong 10/10 and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel-even if just for the staff alone!
Thank you Pod Vezi for your kindness and help whilst we were in Prague.

We stayed in Hotel Pod Vezi for 3 nights at the end of November and highly recommend it! We arrived on a very early morning train and gotto the hotel at 7:30AM to a very warm welcome. They allowed us to check in very early, stored our bags and delivered them to our room once it was ready (around 10:30AM) and invited us to enjoy their wonderful breakfast. We were in the building across from the main hotel and the room was a good size, clean and very comfortable.
The location is fantastic, right at the foot of the Charles Bridge and within walking distance to all main attractions.
The staff was very attentive and always willing to answer a question or give a suggestion.
Will definitely be back!

From the moment we arrived at this beautiful boutique hotel we were confident that we had chosen to stay at a wonderful location. The hotel is adjacent to one of the towers leading to Charles Bridge, you are about 10 steps from one of the most amazing bridges in Europe and you are at the heart of Prague.
The reception staff were faultless and very welcoming, we were taken to the annex across the road and walked to our room which was in the attic of the annex. The room was spacious, warm and had a separate sitting area. There was no bath in the attic room but had a very roomy walk in shower that proved more than sufficient for our needs.
The food - We were on a bed and breakfast basis, however we chose to eat twice at the restaurant in the Pod Vezi and were very glad we did. The quality of the food at both breakfast and dinner was of the highest quality that we have both experienced, and we are both well travelled. In addition the service particularly on the first night was amazing, informative and recommendations given were much appreciated.
One of the reasons we wanted to go to Prague was to visit the concentration camp at Terezin which is about 45 minutes from Prague. Again the reception staff organised this for us and we were grateful as the guided tour was well planned and educational.
We would love to come back to this hotel and couldn't recommend it highly enough to anyone who appreciates a warm, friendly hotel in a fantasic location in this beautiful city.

We very much enjoyed our stay here.
We had a standard room in the annex but it was roomy and had a good size bathroom with a very nice shower.
The bed was very comfortable.
There was a little noise outside but this could be eliminated by shutting the window and putting on the air conditioning.
The location was absolutely perfect for a short break, literally right next to Charles Bridge. In fact “Pod Vezi” in Czech apparently means “Under the tower” which is the tower at the end of the bridge. You can climb the tower for free if you collect a token from reception and it gives excellent views.
Service on reception is friendly and efficient.
Breakfasts are very good and we ate in the restaurant one night and had a very good meal. Hotel residents are given a 10% discount.
Each day a little gift was left in the room, either biscuits or a bottle of sparkling wine and this was a nice touch.
Altogether I can’t imagine there’s a better place to stay in Prague, certainly bearing in mind the very reasonable rates.

The hotel is located next to the Tower at the entrance to the famous Charles Bridge.
We were greeted by Milos' the receptionist who set the tone for the quality of service you will receive at the Pod.
He was extremely friendly and informative and spent sometime mapping out the best restaurants, budget and middle in price and you will not be disappointed if you follow his advice.
During our stay the staff became aware that we were celebrating a birthday and presented us with champagne in our room.
A true hidden gem.

For location, service, friendliness and cleanliness this is simply the best hotel I have ever stayed at
Location 5* + located at one end of Charles Bridge, this could not be better for visiting all of Prague's many tourist sites
Service 5*** originally booked to go March 2020, on a non refundable booking, they were happy to move the booking twice! at no cost, when we got there the reception was very friendly and helpful.
Food 5* breakfast was included with a wide choice of continental foods + a selection of hot foods, no limitations on choice and good coffee. The restaurant in the evening is also brilliant
Cleanliness 5* immaculate, nough said
Price 5* we had a suite for 4 nights at approx £130 pn for its location and service a snip
Facilities 4.5 * as it is a city centre old building, don't expect swimming pools etc, but 1 small irritant the TV only had news channels in English, so we had the music channels on all the time. But they do provide a selection of DVD,s for free and the WiFi was good as well.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to everyone

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel. We had a great welcome and given lots of information of where to visitor. Our room was in the separate building and we couldn’t have asked for better. It was spotlessly clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and had heating you could control very easily to suit your own needs. The bed was very comfortable with good quality linen. The bathroom had a great shower and lovely towels. We were left little gifts each day, chocolates, pastries and even a small bottle of champagne.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We didn’t eat in the hotel at night but did finish off our evening with a couple of drinks in the restaurant which was very good.
The hotel is in a perfect location. Based next to the Charles Bridge in the lesser area it is only a short 15 min stroll to the Old Town. We loved the Lesser area. It was quieter and there were some lovely restaurants. We particularly enjoyed lunch at Lokal and had an excellent meal at Tri Stoleti just along the road.
This is one of the best city hotels we have stayed in and should we return to Prague we would not hesitate to book again.
Thank you to all the friendly, helpful staff, you made our stay very enjoyable.

This hotel is highly recommend- the location is fantastic, service brilliant from the very helpful reception staff to waiters and waitresses and everyone else. Spotlessly clean, large bedroom and a nice gift of different chocolate, biscuits or drink left in the room each day together with complimentary large bottle of water. Nice coffee in room too. Communication with the hotel easy and efficient before the trip and they organised taxi from airport.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in February and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Upon check-in the staff were very friendly and attentive, giving us all the information we needed.
The room and bathroom were lovely and clean with views of the Charles Bridge tower and Old Town on the other side of the river. The hotel left small gifts of wine and chocolates each day which was very nice.
Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food and drinks
The location is excellent, 10 minutes walk to Prague Castle up the hill, 10 minutes walk to Old Town, and not in the middle of a noisy area.
I will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone I know who will be visiting Prague

Very well looked after, all the staff went the extra mile and made us feel really welcome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location at the side of Charles Bridge was ideal as all the major attractions were within walking distance. The buffet breakfast selection was huge and we also had two evening meal there and were happy with the food andd the service. Highly recommended.

Bed, a bit firm, comfortable though.
It probably means that you might have a room in the main building or possibly in the annex building across the square depending on availability on the day you arrive. However, it is probably best to contact the hotel directly to clarify.
Our daughters stayed in Room 12. Very spacious with a living room and a really nice bath room. We were in Room 11 next to the lift which was nice, but I'd suggest Room 12.
I concur with the recommendation for Pod Vezi- wonderful hotel - great staff - perfect location!
Pod vezi was very quiet. Our room did not face on to the street. Why not ask for a quiet room? Loved it.
