Third stay at The Albatros. Couldnt agree more with the previous review. We also found the staff great. Take a kettle if you want coffee in your room HOWEVER, there was no problem taking a coffee pot, milk and sugar from the breakfast room back to your cabin. A superb walk along the river to the centre of Prague (wrap...

For something out of the usual close to the Old Town this is a good choice. The rooms are cabins so on the small side, but how long do you want to spend in your hotel room? Continental breakfast is sufficient, the evening meal choice is OK as well. Staff are great, as with many ex eastern block they appear...

Good location. Rooms very small. Bathroom/shower extremely small. Bartender efficient and nice. Breakfast louzy. Receptionists never presented a smile and could not care less about your questions. Worst service ever.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay for which we paid just over £100 in total. Our room/cabin was small but perfectly adequate with comfortable beds and ample wardrobe and storage space. The bathroom was tiny but the shower was powerful and the water hot. On the whole we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The...

We got the Albatross as part of a "cheap" package so we were not expecting 5* luxury. All public areas are of very good standard with good decor and clean and tidy, reception staff didnt "seem" over friendly but helped with all our quiries. The room was on the small side and looked like a 70's caravan, rather shabby and...

We have just got back from a 2 night stay at the Botel Albatros. The location is ok. Not as close to the town as I hoped, but we managed to walk to most of the main attractions! The rooms are very basic and small (about what you would expect for cabins) and are in pretty poor condition. The bathrooms...

I'm literally just back from Botel Albatross, having woken up there this morning. I liked it, and staying on a boat was a novelty. The rooms are fairly spartan, but if that means not having naff prints of Charles Bridge bolted to the walls then so much the better. I booked a single and got a reasonably roomy double, on...

I booked two single rooms for me and my friend and had a quick answer with confirmation of booking although I haven't paid anything for reservation. We stayed 5 nights and it was a pleasant surprise when receptionist told us that we have to pay for only 4 nigts. Rooms were wery small with bad sound proofing (I heard when...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
