Hotel Rott has garnered high praise for its array of top-notch amenities and prime location close to historic landmarks like the old town square and astronomical clock. Guests frequently commend the friendly and attentive staff, contributing to the hotel's reputation for excellent service.
With its spotlessly clean and spacious rooms providing modern comforts and a cozy ambiance, the hotel is celebrated for its cleanliness and comfort. Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 4 nights in December while the Christmas markets are on and the hotel is literally right around the corner from the Old Town Square and Astro Clock so it took less than 2 minutes to walk to it. Although it was busy with the markets the hotel was lovely and quiet and easily within walking distance of other attractions - we visited the Beer Spa, Powder tower, Charles bridge, Prague Castle (although a bit more of a walk) all from the hotel.
The staff were really friendly and the room was nice. Breakfast was also good.
We'll stay here again when we come back to Prague. We also ate in the restaurant downstair/next door and it was very good, staying at the hotel you get a free welcome drink and discount on your meal in there which makes it really good value.

Dear guests, your kind words about our hotel are highly valued, thank you very much for them. Working in hospitality is nice, but demanding mission and getting a positive feedback, just as your one, is a boost for all of us - from the bellboys, the kitchen or reception staff to myself. I am really glad you will consider staying in Hotel Rott again! Please, would you accept my best wishes into all your journeys, and we will be looking forward to meeting you here again! Regards, Jana Budinská

Booked online a couple of days before we traveled to Prague. Excellent location, right in the center of the city. Arrived New Years Eve.
Reception were excellent, very friendly and professional. The room was very large, warm and cosy. It was also very quiet which was pleasant due to the busy city being right outside the window. There was a complimentary bottle of champagne on arrival in the room. Very nice touch.
Bed was very comfortable with an array of different pillows to suit your every sleep need. Huge bed as well.
Very clean and tidy everywhere in the room and hotel.
Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of choice of cheese, meats, fruit, cereal and breads. Loved the breakfast.
Booked an evening meal which was also very good. Lovely choice on the menu.
The only minor complaint was the lack of milks for the tea and coffee, they give you plenty of tea bags and coffee sachets but only 2 cartons of milk. I had to keep phoning reception to get more milks sent up. However when they were requested it only took a minute for someone to bring them to the room.
Overall a really pleasant stay in a lovely hotel. Ideally placed in the city.

Dear Mick P, thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your stay with us. I am glad that we were able to make your time in Prague enjoyable. Please accept my apologies for the amount of milk we provide at the rooms – it is generally sufficient for all the nations not as devoted to milky tea, as the Britons are. 😊 Thank you for staying at Hotel Rott and we hope that you will consider us for your next trip to Prague! Kind regards, Lucie Glajcová

Excellent 4-star hotel in the historic center of Prague at a reasonable price. The room was quiet, comfortable and with a good air-conditioning. The cleaning service was done by local Czech staff very quickly and thoroughly (you go for a breakfast and the room is already done when you are back). The breakfast is comparable to a 5-star hotel. The airport transfer arranged by the hotel was punctual and in a Mercedes car (at the price similar to a Skoda taxi car). We’ll definitively return to this pleasant and relaxing hotel. The only suggestion would be to order bigger city maps because the map given at the hotel reception was suitable for the miniature book competition but not for the navigation in the city. It was the smallest map I ever had (still a nice souvenir from the beautiful city of Prague).

Dear Muminpapa9, This was a fantastic review to read! Thank you so much for taking the time to write it. I don’t even know where to start – I’m very happy you’ve enjoyed your stay, found the breakfast so good and had a smooth and punctual experience with the transfer service as well as the housekeeping. We’ll be more than glad to meet you again in our Hotel on your next trip to Prague. Regarding the map, we like it precisely because it makes for a good souvenir (with the photo and branding of the Hotel) and I’ll make sure to sign up for the next miniature book competition held in Prague. In more serious manner, we’re currently in the process of commissioning some bigger (albeit not as cute) maps to enhance our navigation-supporting capabilities. I’ll be looking forward to your next visit! With my best regards from Prague, Jana Budinská General Manager

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Prague, you’ve found it!! From the booking process with Jana, to the smiling faces that greeted us at reception day in and day out, it’s the little things that add up to equal the incredible experience Hotel Rott gave us.
Location is just the beginning of what’s great about this hotel, a quiet side street just around the corner from the town square. EVERYTHING is walking distance. Breakfast was vast, delicious, and consistent daily. There is minimal wait time for elevators as their are two to choose from. The cleaning staff was on time daily and took the extra step to organize our shoes and fold our daughters’ lovey blankets on the bed.
Water, coffee, and tea were stocked daily in the room, welcome chocolates awaited us on check in day. The place is kept IMMACULATE, beds are cozy, bathrooms updated and feel like home.
I kept wondering how we could be in such a nice place at such a fair and reasonable price. I could go on. The only regret is that we didn’t have time to try the hotel restaurant.
I’m not kidding, go ahead and choose Hotel Rott, you’re gonna love it.

Hotel has an amazingly good location, a 1 minute walk from the Astronomical clock, it’s a busy location but with the windows closed you’ll hear nothing.
This hotel is spotlessly clean with 2 lifts, the rooms were a little warm and as the air con isn’t on yet (off until summer) I requested a fan for the room and was given one immediately.
You really feel that nothing is too much trouble, this hotel was recommended to us by a friend and we were very pleased with it.

We had a terrific experience with Hotel Rott on a critical business trip to Prague. The hotel is located in the old city steps from the famous clock and other sites; the hotel staff treated us as family; rooms were well cleaned and comfortable; breakfast had just about anything one could want. A special thanks go to the driver, Martin Jech, whom the hotel arranged to fetch us from the airport and to get us to our business appointment on time the next day. Martin, born and raised in Prague, also gave us a memorable two hour tour of the city on Sunday to sites often neglected by most tourists. Most importantly he delivered us and our bags to the rail station next day, even going into the station to assure we could find the correct gate for our train. A perfect ending to our 5 day stay.

I took a short trip after Christmas to Prague. Hotel Rott was a perfect location. I was able to walk to everything - Old Town, St Charles Bridge, Castle, etc. The Astronomical clock and Christmas markets were right around the corner. Breakfast buffet each morning had good variety of food and was served until 11am each day. Would definitely stay here again if in Prague for vacation.

This was a return visit to Hotel Rott. I’d previously stayed pre-Covid and been offered a 10% discount should I go back. It wasn’t a difficult decision to return. The hotel is situated just off Old Town Square so couldn’t be more central. It’s warm, clean and welcoming. The bedrooms are a good size and my bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in an atmospheric basement vault is more than adequate with both hot and cold options and as much as you want. The breakfast staff are very attentive and plates are cleared away quickly and efficiently.
The only disappointment was the unpleasant and hostile receptionist when we arrived about 10pm after a few delays. He made a huge production about registering us although I doubt he was expecting anybody else that evening. Much eye rolling and sighing and I began to wonder if the pre-paid booking had actually gone through in spite of my having the email conformation. Pre-payment didn’t meet with his approval, or the price we had paid. He questioned everything and made me feel uncomfortable, but thankfully we didn’t see him again. It was an unfortunate start to an otherwise enjoyable stay and was all the more disappointing because every other member of staff was unfailingly pleasant and cheerful.

Dear Ruth, first, thank you for your repeated visits and for your kind words. Your positive attitude is very much appreciated. And well, back to your troubles with our receptionist - please, accept my deep apology, this is our valued team member and works for our hotel almost 20 years. The only explication I have is that he must have been tired or not feeling well - so would you pl.ese accept my deep apology for his lapsus, as normally he is a perfect receptionist executing all the duties properly and with a great care. I feel really sorry for this misconduct of his - and will be hoping it will not change your affinity to our hote and we will have the pleasure to meet you soon again! Wishing you all the best throughout 2024, with my kindest regards, Jana Budinská

We stayed here 3 nights this past weekend and really enjoyed it. One of the best values in a hotel in Europe for us so far. We stayed in a large room overlooking a square. The shower was a bit small, as most are in Europe, but the bed was comfy, and there was coffee in the room, which is important to us. The breakfast is definitely the best we have experienced in Europe. The service was amazing--the hotel staff helped us with parking and sightseeing recommendations, and even provided umbrellas since we forgot to pack ours. And the location cannot be beat! Located just steps from the old town square and the astronomical clock. We plan to stay here again when we return to Prague.

Dear guests, thank you for your excellent review, which literally made my day - one of those many within the last months, which remind rather of a bad dream for a hotelier. I am happy you felt well in our hotel and enjoyed your stay in Prague, sightseeing and everything. It is a great value, indeed, visiting Prague these days, with the little people in the streets and a lot of different opportunities... you feel the spirit of the city more then ever. Thank you again and I hope you will return soon! With the wishes of all the best, Jana Budinska

Stayed here for three nights (Fri 27 May 22 to Mon 30 May 22). Great location (right in city centre), but our room backed onto a central courtyard only, so noise from the streets outside wasn’t an issue. Room was very nice, shower was impressively powerful. Buffet-style breakfast was included, they had these little slices of apple cake that were amazing! The staff were great though, especially Mario on the front desk. Prague is a lovely city, and staying in such a great hotel helped make our trip a memorable one.

They had a rooftop setting which was amazing but not a bar. We were able to take our own drinks up.
As they are in the square, there were a lot of options next door for after hour drinks as well.
Yes there is one affiliated which is right beside it. We did not go to it unfortunately. Their breakfast room is in the basement and is fantastic. We were there every morning.
Hello, certainly and gladly yes, we can store your luggage in our luggage room.
