The Questenberk Hotel was built in 1620 and it's neat to stay in a historical hotel in the middle of a historical city. While the amenities are more state of the art (yes, they have wifi and tv - it's not quite the stone ages), the spacious rooms and décor are right out of the 1600's. We were greeted by...

This is the ideal hotel for visiting Prague. It is a beautiful property, built in 1620, was part of the monestaryand is near the castle, and the best parts of the area. The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed personalized service every day. I only wish that I could have stayed longer!

This was our first trip to Prague and of all the hotels in the city we landed here. How fortunate we were, from the time we arrived to the minute we left our experience was excellent in every way. Customer service and food was outstanding and the staff made us feel very special indeed and as if they genuinely valued...

Stayed here with my 15 year old daughter for one night ostensibly to watch Southampton play Sparta Prague but then to do some sightseeing. As has been commented on by other posters, we were delighted with both the quality of accommodation and service. In particular the staff went to great lengths to help us with our travel plans and maximise...

The customer service is impeccable. From check-in to check-out they make sure you are satisfied. The room is great; the breakfast is great; the location is great. Just use the 22 tram and you can be in Mala Strana in 5 minutes. Best hotel, by far, on our Central Europe trip.

The Questenberk is a former 16th century monastery located a 5 minute walk from Prague Castle, and just above a good park. The rooms are spacious and the staff very willing to help. Many small and appreciated touches: chocolates on the pillow, pastry late afternoon in the TV room, a lovely dining room for breakfast overlooking the park and across...

Pros: History, setting The hotel is located in an old building which was a palace connected to the monastery which is about 100m away. The building has recently been sympathetically modernised and is in great condition. The hotel offers all the facilities expected of a modern quality hotel other than a pool and gym. The staff were very friendly and...

We had a lovely long weekend in the Questenberk hotel. The staff were extremely helpful providing us with very good restaurant tips and helped me out when I booked a taxi on the wrong date! The room was in great condition and the hotel located on the hill overlooking Prague, 5 minutes walk from Prague Castle and a tram ride...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Location of Questenberk hotel is special for its breathtaking view on the entire city of Prague. Within moments you are able to reach Prague Castle (approximately 5 minutes) and other most visited Prague's sites such as Charles Bridge, Lesser Town and Old Town square. Its unique placement gives you infinite options how to plan your journey in Prague. Only steps from our hotel you can enjoy the calm of Petrin park which is the biggest park in Prague and it is a pleasant place where to spend end of your day with an evening walk from the town. The building was built in 17th century and it served as a formal private palace to Sir Caspar Von Questenberg who was a German priest, Abbot of Strahov Premonstratensian Monastery. Sometimes the building is misinterpreted as a church, because the architecture is very similar to the one found in Strahov Monastery which is located only 2 minutes of walking through our terrace restaurant. Our hotel is suitable for clients of all ages, families with children, couples, wedding occassions or business trips. Staying in hotel Questenberk will give you unforgetable memories and will definitely make your stay in Prague even more enjoyable. ... more   less
