Our stay at the Questenberk over New Year was excellent. The staff took a lot of trouble to be helpful and there are some nice touches - the turn down service, fresh bottles of water and fruit in the room each day, cake and biscuits with coffee and other hot drinks available daily in the lounge etc. We found the...

Stayed 4 nights here during the holidays and it was stunning. The hotel is a converted monastery building with all the architectural charm retained but all modern amenities. The holiday decorations were also really beautiful and smelled great. Upon arrival we had not planned much and Mirka took the time to recommend events and restaurants which we really, really appreciated....

Staff is very friendly at this amazing place. Clean rooms with all facilities you need. Nice hotel, excellent breakfast. Location is amazing, close to Castle. In the evenings it is quiet in the area, but tram 22 to the city centre is around the corner. Would definitely recommend Questenberg!

We checked in to the Questenber hotel upon our arrival to Prague. We arranged for their chauffeur to collect us at the airport and were delighted to find a friendly and well versed Robert awaiting us. Following our prior travels to the Czech Republic, we've come to expect a high service standard and the staff at this hotel - from...

My husband and I enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel. It's a bit of a walk from the old town but very convenient for accessing the castle and the Strahov Monastery, including its brewery. The welcome is very relaxing and the reception staff very attentive. Cleaning staff immaculate. The breakfast was a bit on the pricey side for...

One of the places that we have stayed in Europe. Clean / nice rooms / excellent breakfast. The staff go out of their way to make your stay memorable. In particular we had outstanding service from Nikole and Mirka in regards to a detailed checkin process and great dinner recommendations. The attention to detail, ie nightly turndown service, was a nice...

Questenberk is certainly a hidden gem a bit away from the tourist traps of a great city like Prague. Very quaint, clean rooms with a real feel of Eastern European history. The best thing is the included breakfast, English speaking staff, overly friendly and ready to please. Robert was a real pleasure to deal with and very helpful to make...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Location of Questenberk hotel is special for its breathtaking view on the entire city of Prague. Within moments you are able to reach Prague Castle (approximately 5 minutes) and other most visited Prague's sites such as Charles Bridge, Lesser Town and Old Town square. Its unique placement gives you infinite options how to plan your journey in Prague. Only steps from our hotel you can enjoy the calm of Petrin park which is the biggest park in Prague and it is a pleasant place where to spend end of your day with an evening walk from the town. The building was built in 17th century and it served as a formal private palace to Sir Caspar Von Questenberg who was a German priest, Abbot of Strahov Premonstratensian Monastery. Sometimes the building is misinterpreted as a church, because the architecture is very similar to the one found in Strahov Monastery which is located only 2 minutes of walking through our terrace restaurant. Our hotel is suitable for clients of all ages, families with children, couples, wedding occassions or business trips. Staying in hotel Questenberk will give you unforgetable memories and will definitely make your stay in Prague even more enjoyable. ... more   less
