I chose Ritchie's on recommendation of a friend who stayed a few years ago and wasn't disappointed. I was a solo female traveller in a female only dorm that was spacious and had a private bathroom. The location is perfect - in the middle of the Old Town and close to Charles Bridge - and the service was second to...

I really enjoyed my stay here at Ritchie's Hostel. The location is about as good as it gets, and makes it so much easier to do your sight seeing when your within walking distance. The staff was very accommodating and Lenka's service was superb. She scanned important documents for me, helped me with my washing, and answered any questions I...

We arrived in the mid afternoon and was told our room on the top floor (10 bed mix dorm) which was so hot and so stuffy with just a small fan blowing warm air and just two small windows. We really wanted to check out immediately but considering just one night we took the challenge. Mind you we came from...

I chose to stay here since this was right next to the Charles bridge and the Old Town square... where all the activity is! The hotel is neat and comfortable. However, it was a bit noisy since we had people on the streets all night long. The staff was courteous and breakfast spread was good.

It was a little of a laberynth to get our room. We stayed in the 2nd floor (no elevator) with views of the street. Yes, its a lot noise if you open the windows, but if you close it,there's absolutely silence. The room was fine. Ok beds, and the bathroom was big enough( we stayed in the 5 beds room...

I travel a lot and always stay at hostels but I do not recommend this one for many reasons: if you stay in a room to the front, you will have too much noise from the street and if you stay in a room to the back, you will have machinery noise and also a terrible hot room. The hostel...

I was there on March, spent one night. Shared my 10-beds dorm only with one person, so it was like private room. Good service at reception, the room was spacious and had it's own bathroom. For breakfast you should paid separately. Good location, near Charle's Bridge. I recommended this hostel for all.

it is called a hostel and there are large rooms with many beds in them for sleeping. I didn't see them so I can't say anything about that. My son stayed in the single room with own toilet and bathroom, I stayed in the other hotel but visited him several times. It was not so cheap - his room cost about...

The hostel was in a fantastic sightseeing location. Not only was it in the very popular location for bars, restaurants and sights, there were many trams and metro stops nearby. We were on the top floor, which was about 60 stairs up a curving and slippery stairway. The room was small, but had a private bathroom and was clean. The...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
