The Golden Wheel was located in the middle of the hill leading to the Prague Castle. Slight uphill location can be a challenging walk for elderly and for people with disabilities. Otherwise it was a beautiful hotel located in an old building. Hotel interiors were cool. The room and the bathroom were large and nicely decorated. The complimentary wireless internet... More

What a great hotel in a superb location. Small hotel approximately 15 mins walk from Prague Castle uphill and 15 mins to Charles Bridge downhill. Lots of small bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk but still a nice quiet area. Hotel staff are fantastic and very helpful with any local information you may need. Excellent buffet breakfast. Little warning,... More

Really beautiful boutique hotel right by Prague Castle. The hotel faces onto the main street leading up to the castle (about half way up the hill), but once inside it's so quiet, cosy and welcoming. The room was beautiful, we were in 102 at the front of the building, which had incredible painted ceilings. The staff were extremely friendly and... More

What a lovely hotel this is. It's really well placed about a 5 minute walk up the hill to the castle and 10 minutes walk to Charles Bridge. The rooms are really clean and well kept. The only downside for me was the bed was really hard, but that's probably my only complaint. The mini bar is well stocked and... More

This hotel is a small boutique hotel with a lot of class and personality. The service staff are the same especially Leonardo. The location couldn't be better - right at the foot of the castle - out of the hustle and bustle of the main square, but very walkable to all the main sights. With this walk you also see... More

Recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with a friend and we loved every minute of it. All of the staff were extremely friendly and they couldn't do enough for us! Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
