We made a last minute reservation after our first one fell through. Upon arrival, we were upgraded from Apartment Madrid (studio) to Roma (2 bedroom!) for our two night stay at Residence Retezova. It was a pleasure to see the different painted wooden beams in each room of the larger apartment. Of course we had everything we needed and more!...

Stayed here for two nights with my brother and father. We had one of the largest suites with two bedrooms. A nice hotell with lots of character and history. The location is just perfect for a weekend in Prague. Thanks Veronica for all your help and assistance this weekend. We will return!

Large, clean, well-appointed flat in a great location for touring the old city. The young staff was eager to please, and they did. Wifi was fine, decor was quite nice—particularly the lovely, decorated ceilings in most rooms. The cafe' next door serves tasty desserts and coffee. I would recommend this to anyone except those with mobility issues. The lift is...

My mother, brother and myself visited this wonderful place for 3 nights. We stayed in an apartment with 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, a nice living room with a kitchen and a large entrace and really felt at home. The location could not have been more central, walking distance to most of the interesting sights. We used their nice offer of...

We were super excited to stay at this hotel based on the reviews and pictures. However, as much as we loved the location and the place the service wasn't so great. After a long day/night we got stuck behind the door of the hotel and couldn't get in to the hotel. After several unanswered calls, we had to ask the...

Great location because it was so close to everything. Be prepared to keep windows closed at night. Street very active and loud. Apartment was spacious and clean. Never used the kitchen because restaurants too good. Could have done without the "breakfast included" price although it was nice to not have to think about where to go each morning. Choices were...

We stayed three nights in Hotel Residence Retezova. We were surprised by the large apartment. Two sleeping rooms, large living room, two bathrooms and a comfortable kitchen. The apartment also has a wonderful gallery and a nice terrace with a rooftop view. It is an old building from the 15th or 17th century, so wooden logs support the roof and...

This place has the space and pricing of an apartment rental but with the service and convenience of a hotel. Great location and very cool, if quirky, rooms. Highly recommended for a family trip to Prague .

My wife (who was pregnant) and I booked a studio room for two nights at the Residence Retezova in August, 2016. We probably should have paid a lot more attention to the details regarding the studio room, because it had no air conditioning and the sleeping area was accessible only by a very steep climb up a pretty precarious ladder/stairs....

what a great botique hotel. We loved every minute of our stay. The spacious elegant room, so clean and beautifully decorated, the attentive recepionists, the wonderful Cafe downstairs, and... though it is in such a central location, it was very quiet. Thats the best way to be in Prague. We 'll definetely come back.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
