I visited the hotel with my husband in January. We stayed there for three nights and wished we had had more nights in the hotel! Our room was room number 5. It had a nice double bed in a large room, and it had a small jacuzzi in the bathroom! So romantic! The staff was super friendly and the room...

We stayed in this hotel for our winter honeymoon and it's safe to say that it was the best decision we made for our stay in Prague. Located in the heart of the Old Town, the hotel is mere seconds away from the Old Town Square. Shops are restaurants are a plenty as well as major landmarks such as the...

Just back from a very chilly Prague (minus 15 on Saturday!), where we stayed in the U Zlateho Jelena (Golden Deer) hotel for the 3rd time. This city never ceases to amaze me and this hotel just capped off this trip - my 11th visit to Prague, which consisted of 3 male friends aged 50-60, one of their sons aged...

Fantastic, low-key hotel in the heart of the old part of the city. The rooms were very basic but conforming to modern day needs and expectations (excellent shower units). The whole look of the rooms and the hotel takes one back in time to the 1930s, as if one is living in a flat. While everything may look old school,...

Amazing attention to cleanliness, very helpful staff, 2 minutes walk from the best restaurants in Prague and 4 minutes walk from astronomical clock location could not get any better, went 3 hours early than check in time staff were very helpful and accommodated could not believe the views from the room. Will strongly recommend this place for staying in Prague.

Group of us stayed for two nights. Location is very good at the heart of the Old Town. Rooms are old fashioned in style and are large and comfortable up a stair from the courtyard adjacent to the reception. Ideal base for exploring the city. Reception staff always to hand and are friendly and courteous. Reception is located off the...

Accessing the hotel with the car is a bit difficult since it is directly in the old city center. You can park on the street just opposite the hotel, only you need to pay a fee at the hotel and get a parking card for city center allowance. The hotel is in the old building, walking distance (150 m) from...

Booked this city centre hotel a few months back due to its location and affordable cost. Communication with them in the intervening weeks was always prompt and courteous on their behalf and in very good english. The location of the hotel is only 50 meters from the Old Town Square and is excellently situated for all walking around the city....

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
