The Mozart Prague is often commended for its exceptional service, though some guests have noted occasional lapses. Its cleanliness, particularly the well-maintained rooms and bathrooms, receives high marks, despite a rare complaint about bed bugs. The spacious rooms offer scenic views but some suggest they could benefit from modernization. The hotel's amenities, including an extensive breakfast and its ideal location close to key Prague sights, are popular among visitors. While the atmosphere is described as charming, opinions on the hotel's value for money are mixed.

It was okay but this is not 5 star.

Breakfast got our orders messed up on different days with different servers. The quiche does not taste fresh daily—maybe over a day old. Daily smoothie is half a glass. No water for the table provided.

When I requested decaffeinated tea from the front reception they said they don’t have immediately after asking. Though I drank some that morning at breakfast. The least someone could have done is take the time to check the kitchen.

The shower glass leaked constantly. We were very careful but water was always everywhere. Was a more traditional bath style with the small piece of glass along a bathtub, versus an upgraded shower.

I asked for down feather pillows but they didn’t have. Only the cotton ones. Which was fine but 5 star would usually have the options available.

I was charged more for my upgrade. After going back twice to reception and showing proof in writing it should have been less, I wanted the manager to help. Within less than 3min I was honored the price I received in writing.

Though small inconveniences, the reception/front desk should improve a bit. It doesn’t feel five star. The pillows and tea could have been provided and maybe the shower in the room could have had the glass resealed so it didn’t leak. Otherwise great location and not loud surprisingly, the sauna was nice to have access too as well. The facilities are beautiful, I just wish the staffing also felt 5 star.

I’d stay again if improvements are made

Just a few yards from the Old Town side of the Charles Bridge, this historic building is in a great position for walking out and exploring the city. It has a small reception area and a small lounge for guests, a cafe bar and a chic restaurant (Bellevue) - then a modern internal courtyard that must be glorious in the summer. Our gorgeous suite which overlooked the river, with views to the Charles Bridge and up to the castle - a delight! The suite itself was spacious, traditional in its rather dark decor, but with every amenity and the housekeeping was perfect. Bathroom modern, good shower and a bath. It was warm and comfortable to return after a day in the freezing winter outdoors!
Breakfast is an elegant buffet but with a choice of hot omelettes, waffles etc, fresh and tasty.
The restaurant has recently located into this building, chic and semi formal fine dining. The food was delicious, the service charming and efficient, the atmosphere calm but with a little buzz (good!). Prices are what you would expect from an exceptional restaurant, yet good value. And try the Czech wines!

Service throughout was just marvellous- the hotel arranged a car to meet us at the airport (worth the cost) and we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff (Jan and Martin on the afternoon we arrived, but every single member of staff that we met was smiling and helpful). They gave us great recommendations for sightseeing, instructions on how to use the trams, reservations for dinner elsewhere on 2 nights.

It’s a luxury hotel that retains character and charm, something different from the international chains. It is expensive but not madly so, and is very good value. We enjoyed it very much, and would choose it again for our next visit to Prague. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.

My husband and I stayed at Smetana Hotel in October, work for him and pleasure for me, and we couldn't have been more pleased. He was very happy with the arranged meeting space for his team and felt the staff to be very accommodating and able to meet their needs.
We had a spacious bedroom, 3rd floor with a beautiful view of the river and castle. I was a little concerned that noise would be an issue, being on the road side, but when our windows were closed we couldn't hear a thing. We did open the windows a couple of nights and it really didn't bother us then either. The only downside that I can think of was a couple of days I hung the 'do not disturb' sign and was surprised to have knocking and entering into the room. The staff quickly shut the door when they realized we were still in bed. A little annoying to have the knocking but really no big deal to us.
The breakfast was convenient but I found a little cafe (Artisan Cafe & Bistrot) that I could've gone to each day. Short walk, delicious quiche and a very good price compared to the price and offerings at hotel.
The front desk staff were accommodating, helping with arranging a private walking tour and scheduling the most amazing massage I have ever had. Loved the "spa" area!
I've only been to Prague this one time but I think the location was absolutely perfect. Able to walk and explore in all directions.
Oh! And the courtyard area is wonderful to sit, relax and have a cocktail in the evening.
Great stay and experience.
Very happy with our experience.

Good location, river view room can see Charles bridge and Prague castle, walking distance to most of the attractions. Breakfast was great. Staffs were nice and helpful. They have a unique area for sauna and massage area, and a bar at 400years old chapel. Quiet location. Just few steps away the famous Hemingway Bar.

Overall, we had a lovely stay at the Mozart Prague Hotel, which, I have learned, also goes by other names (I'm not sure why). Ours was a 4 day visit in July, 2022. Front desk staff, bellhop, concierge were all gracious and eager to assist. Our room was reasonably spacious, on the 3rd floor. It was clean and nicely arranged for our arrival, booked in advance. We arrived by train; we left by train. This hotel is about a 25 minute walk from the central train station, or a 30 crown subway ride + 12 minute walk, or a €6 uber ride. We walked to the hotel, and ubered to the train station.

Once you are at the hotel, you won't need your car to explore Prague. You can walk everywhere in the old city and related areas, or take transit for things that are a bit further afield.

This was a hot summer, and even though our room, tucked under the rafters, had an AC unit, it could not keep up with the heat. Our room was warmer than we'd prefer, especially for sleeping. We asked for and were promised a fan to help, or a different room. No fan came on night one. Asked again the next morning. A fan was promised. Evening arrived, no fan. The next morning, I put a little more emphasis on our desire and asked simply: will we have a fan, this time? It was revealed that the property had only one fan, and another guest was using it. Since that guest was checking out, we got the fan for our last two nights.

Breakfast is competent and reasonably well attended by staff. Not ideal for cold cereal lovers, but eggs are available cooked to order. A wide selection of breads, cheeses and meats was offered, along with coffee, tea, juices. Eating in the courtyard made it even better.

Spa Services: I had two massages in Prague, one from a nearby Thai massage house about a 7 minute walk away. And the other, through the in-house masseuse. In my opinion, the 90 minute massage at the hotel was overpriced and underwhelming. The person giving the massage was young and possibly inexperienced, omitting or spending too much time in various places. My suggestion: save your funds for a nearby massage service.

The service and hospitality was excellent. The food was delicious, we ate dinner and breakfast and everything everyone ordered was correct, affordable and perfectly cooked. The rooms were all a little different but equal in comfort and spaciousness. The drinks in the mini fridge were all complimentary and we got everything we asked for arranged without hesitation and with the utmost professionalism. This trip was worth every penny. We had four rooms and were in Prague for a bachelorette party, they accommodated us so well! The massages were in the cutest room, the masseuse was a little strong but it was still healing.

We had an amazing stay at The Mozart in Prague. The location is in the heart of the city - directy next to Charles Bridge and with a gorgeous view over the river and Prague Castle.
Our room on the top floor was very authentic, beautifully furnished, perfectly clean and had a breathtaking view.
The hospitality of the whole team was outstanding and we felt welcome from the first moment.
The concierge Alan was extreamly kind and supportive in all matters - especially in helping to find the best spots to visit in Prague. Also Ally from the front desk was really helpful and gave us a very smooth ride to the airport.
We can highly recommend The Mozart to everyone who wants the perfect location in Prague and loves a beautiful classic hotel.
Thank you!!

Not ever having been in Prague, we relied on a travel agent to suggest a hotel with great location. Being feet from the Charles Bridge it was just that and more. The hotel has about 70 rooms and ours was spacious with a tremendous view of the river. Fantastic! However the best part of the trip were the people and staff there. It started with the concierge, Allan Jones who was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome and at home. We saw him daily and developed a strong liking and relationship with him. The owner should be incredibly happy to have him. Additionally, we met Stefan in the courtyard who came over and introduced himself. He played music from his personal playlist in the courtyard that set up ambiance and went well with the glasses of great wine we had (Montepulciano A’Bruzzo). Then the front desk with the combination of Aleks and Marianna was very helpful and added a very nice touch to all our needs. The breakfasts were tasty and perfect and at one point (in the courtyard again!) we met Vikram the chef. We had a great time conversing with him and he then invited us to try out a special meal that he would prepare for us the following night. That dinner was so exquisite and from his Indian heritage (butter chicken with a great rice and yoghurt with cumin….wow). The bar staff was also phenomenal including Sebastian, Frida and two others that were fantastic. The entire staff was so international and worldly. We really hated leaving and know that we will be back to the Mozart Hotel. Allan gave us a tour of some of the rooms and suites including the Mozart suite where Amadeus stayed when there. The hotel has lots of history and one feels almost in a time warp and in a good way. We recommend to everyone!!!

Smetana hotel is in my opinion the best hotel I was in Praha so far. The service was perfect, the location is convenient and very close to all the attractions in the center but the real advantage of this hotel is the staff who is friendly, reactive and super professional. You really feel like you are someone very important to them and they will do their best to make your stay a lasting memory. Special thanks to Alex the Front Office Manager whose good mood and smile were always welcoming.

This is a great hotel and the staff are wonderful. If possible get the balcony room on the front of the building 2nd floor for great fresh air. Last there in October and it was very warm weather and the hotel was fine.
