We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town last month. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the old town square. The room and breakfast were terrific. Eva, at reception, was very helpful and looked after us well. We loved the free glass of wine each night. We will be recommending this hotel to all...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

The Hastal Hotel is probably the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in throughout Europe! The staff is always willing to assist the guests and to do all they can to make sure the stay in Prague is enjoyable. As one of the clerks told us, they try to treat each guest as if they were family! And we certainly...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our visit to Prague in late March 2017. I found the hotel to be dated and a bit creepy. Wifi was slow, the breakfast buffet could be improved, but the greatest flaw is that there is NO soundproofing of the rooms (eventhough they advertise soundproofing in the hotel's description). On the...

lovely quirky hotel. Very well situated for all the top tourist spots. Few minutes walk to Old Town Square and Jewish Quarter, but everything in walking distance. All staff, without exception were friendly and helpful. This was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in A few reviews have been critical of the breakfast. I thought it was...

I have wondered the streets of Prague at different times in my life. My favorite area is old town square because of all the historical essence around me. Also, old town is just a skip away from many other areas. If you are like me, and you want to see the old part of Prague, The Hotel Hastal is for...

We scored a great last minute deal with this hotel and showed up an hour later at 11pm to find that they have not only upgraded out rooms (discounted to begin with) but also warm service at reception where most all the paperwork has been sorted out, bottles of red and white wine ready at reception for any guests, a...

We booked this hotel in relation to the price and reviews on Trip Advisor were very positive. We were not disappointed in the least. For the price we paid and the location it was great value for money. The staff were good and could not do enough for their customers. Rooms and facilities were good, very clean hotel. The only...

What a great place this is to stay. A transfer was arranged to pick us up at the airport. The driver was there to meet us and very friendly. Upon walking in the reception the first thing that struck me was the amazing decor it was like being in a 1920's film set, absolutely fantastic. Check in was fine and...

Good location central to tourist attractions and shopping, very friendly staff, the room was comfortable and clean. There was complimentary coffee, tea and wine in the lobby at all times, plus a substantial breakfast buffet in the morning. Would definitely stay there again!

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
