We have just returned from a four night stay at this wonderful hotel. We chose it after reading all the glowing reports and they are all true. It is a family owned hotel and the love and care that has gone in this place is obvious from the moment you step inside. It is spotlessly clean and from the lovely...

I have wondered the streets of Prague at different times in my life. My favorite area is old town square because of all the historical essence around me. Also, old town is just a skip away from many other areas. If you are like me, and you want to see the old part of Prague, The Hotel Hastal is for...

This was the first stop in a 3 week trip across Eastern and Southern Europe for me and it couldn't have gotten off to a better start. Kristian and the other owners in the family were very welcoming and hospitable. They provided me with anything I needed and were happy to direct me to not only good tourist spots but...

This was my second time in 3 years I had stayed there and the experience is great every time. Nice staff during the day and night. It is very close to the old town square with lots of clubs and bars near the area. The breakfast has one of the best variety of food selections in town. It is included...

Eva was a very welcoming and helped us settle into the city and area. Greatly appreciated all front desk staff as very helfpul. Fascinating story of the hotels beginning and family history adds to the stay. Lovely free offer of wine upon our arrival was a delightful touch. Excellent value with breakfast included made this a winning stay for 4...

Having booked the hotel after seeing it advertised in the budget hotels section in the AA citypack guide to Prague and checking reviews on tripadvisor, we were not disappointed when we arrived for our 4 night stay. The price for our room included an en-suite bathroom and breakfast. There was also free wifi throughout the hotel, a free safe in...

The hotel is located exceptionally well: very close to the most important town attractions and at the same time in a quiet place. Enough parking slots just in front of the hotel. The personnel is very friendly and attentive to all requests. We enjoyed the apartment we stayed together with my wife and 17 years old daughter. And the breakfast...

The linens were very nice. The pillows were down. The mattresses are comfortable. The bathrooms were recently redone. Great restaurants close by. We liked nostress and home kitchen. Two blocks from the Spanish synagogue. Breakfast buffet had lots of grilled vegetables, fried rice, salad, and bananas for the gluten free/vegan.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
