Hotel Hastal is located within walking distance to the Old Town Square. It is an excellent location and quaint hotel. While a little dated and our double bed was up against the wall, all can be overlooked by lovely attention at the front desk. Free tea and coffee from the café bar in the foyer and free glass of wine,...

A great family owned Hotel centrally located just around the block from The Old City Square. This is stated to be the only "family owned" hotel in the old city. Front desk staff were great and very pleasant at all times. The hotel beams history from every picture hanging in the foyer. Breakfast was very satisfying and of an excellent...

Close distance to the centre of old town but just far put enough to have some peace and quiet. The rooms are a bit dated but do the job. Ours had a lovely balcony overlooking the street. The breakfast was a good selection but unfortunately the bread was always stale. The wifi was great, one of the fastest of our...

The hotel was only a couple of blocks from the town square. It was walkable to everywhere. The hotel has so much charm and history. Breakfast buffet was great. The free glass of wine and/or coffee was such a welcome treat when we would come back in every day. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. It was...

I stayed at Hotel Hastal for 3 nights from 25th July 2014. I was a solo traveller, and for me I had no complaints with the Hotel, it is a basic hotel but good value for money, in a quiet Location but only 5 to 10 minutes walk to the old town and Astronomical clock. The area for the Hotel...

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Prague. We drove here from Cesky Krumlov and we were able to park out front for a small fee. It is just minutes from the main square. The immediate neighborhood is a little sketchy but we did not feel unsafe staying here. The front desk staff were professional and courteous. The room...

Excellent AC in rooms. Marketa and Ivan were very helpful whenever we needed anything and check in was fast. Complimentary breakfast was fantastic :-)...

This hotel is a great spot. It isn't a luxury hotel, but definitely a great value and great location in Old Town Prague. My husband and I were able to walk every where. The rooms are a good size, with plenty of storage space. The front desk staff was very helpful, including Thomas who answered all of our questions. There...

This friendly hotel is situated near the Jewish part of the old town, but easily accessible by car. We were welcomed by Thomas who helped us parking our car near the hotel. Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
