Stayed in the Apartment (part of, but not attached to the Grand Hotel) overlooking Old Town. View and location simply couldn't be any better. Breakdown of rating: absolute 5 for location. Balcony opens overlooking Christmas Market and Town Square. A firm 2 for the actual apartment- think 80's decor/white laminate. Sleeps 10 people. One toilet. One shower. Clean, comfortable linens....

This was our first time visiting Prague and the Grand Hotel made it the most perfect visit! Lubomir at the front desk treated us like royalty! We got a free upgrade to the most beautiful room with a million dollar view! He was kind enough to organize a very early ride to the airport on our final day and even...

We decided to go to Prague last minute for 1 night and knew we wanted to stay in Old Town. I sent an email since I needed to book 2 rooms and received a response very quickly from Jana. I had several other questions and we went back & forth several times - with Jana always responding very quickly. Because...

The food is the best. The service great. The prices are reasonable, better than expected considering the best location in the Old Town, the the brilliant quality. Our group booked ahead so we got the good seats in the al fresco section, which is the very best place to view the astronomical clock in all of Prague. We lingered for...

The hotel is very central for the Old Town and near to the Charles Bridge and the castle. The rooms are comfortable with antique furniture and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is excellent. We would stay again.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and we very pleased. Centrally located and walking distance to many tourist hotspots. We stayed in the older part with no elevator and that was fine. We did change rooms after the first night as we overlooked a side street with lots of garbage bins, food delivery and walking traffic to an...

To be frank, I didn't have night expectations of Eastern Europe tourism but the staff at the Grand Hotel Praha were the best we'd had in seven weeks travel from Singapore through London, Paris, Berlin, Krakow and Belgium. Staff were extremely professional and very keen to link us with services that would be helpful. Room was lovely (quite literally facing...

We spent 6 nights at this hotel and were very pleased. The location is right in Old Town, facing the main square. (TIP: A room facing the square might be noisy, so request a room at the back. That's what we did and it was very quiet.) All-you-can-eat breakfast in their beautiful Cafe Mozart, a friendly, helpful staff (especially Martin...

If you want to stay in the heart of Prague, if you want to be close to all the attractions - this is definitely your hotel. Our room was large, clean, with a very large bathroom. Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
