Let me just start by saying, I have never written a hotel review. This one deserves one. My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Praha last week. It is a wonderful place. The Staff we all so friendly and helpful. We had a problem finding the place with our car rental (never drive in the city!, crazy) they...

If you are looking for a great hotel in the centre of Prague check out this one! The hotel is in an excellent position, in the Old Town right opposite the famous Astronomical Clock. Our room (205) was great, large, clean and very quiet - although it might not be suitable for people with mobility issues as it is a...

Dear Sir/Madam, thank you, for your lovely respond to our accommodation I am very happy to read, that you have enjoyed your stay with us! Unfortunately, we can not have coffee and tea facilities in our hotel rooms, due to fire hazard which is really high in our rooms, but our reception staff is ready to assist you 24/7 with...

Nice hotel, great location. Breakfast delivered to your room for free. Do not hesitate to pay some extra for a room facing the square and the clock - feels like a front row on F1 Monaco Grand Prix, every hour! No noise from the square (if you just close the window).

Nice convenient location, right on Old Town Square in front of Astonomical clock. The noise level was low despite our room facing the busy street with lot of activities. Very nice staff, very helpful. The bed was memory-foam bed, very comfortable. The bathroom was large but the shower head location was a bit awkward so taking a shower was not...

I had a room under the roof: large, quiet, clean, and with a bath. Staff very kind and helpful. Rooms, furniture and restaurant have a nice and authentic vintage flavour. Breakfast buffet extraordinary in variety, abundance and quality. The information and tips they gave on the money exchange all correct and to my benefit. They arranged a transfer to the...

Having travelled from New Zealand to Copenhagen, Denmark for Christmas/New Year for family reasons, we decided we needed time out on our own in early January so thoroughly enjoyed 3 nights at the Grand Hotel Praha from 06-09 January 2015. What an historic gem this hotel is, even though our room was in a separate building from the main hotel...

We visited the Grand Hotel Praha over Christmas and found that the location was simply perfect. We sat in the bedroom watching the astronomical clock on the hour. We spent our time in the Christmas market on our doorstop and all main attractions were within walking distance. The hotel staff were very helpful and assisted us with an early arrival...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
